Description

We stayed in the basic refugio instead camping. There's a parking lot for vehicles where you can stay overnight, tents are allowed but we couldn't find a flat spot. Kitchen (with microwave), toilets & showers available, but we didn't ask for having a shower. Electricity only in the refugio. The restaurant closes at 4.30p.m. 4US$ pP/night for both camping or a bed in the refugio. Pets are not allowed in the refugio.

Camping at the visitor center. Clean toilets (only open during the day), museum, restaurant. In the middle of the mountains of Páramo.

Probably the most beautiful Paramo trail starts at the visitor center (no. 1 on the map). Also a nice, short hike goes around the lagoon Toreadora.

(Also originally $ 4 / person, but you have to camp us on the weekend without pay leave)
