Police wanted to fine me 1,000 pula for not having a white country sticker on my motorcycle. After 20 minutes of discussion they let me go without paying. They still insisted that it is mandatory for motorcycles to have the sticker. So motorcyclists, take care.
Report Check-InThere are some stalls with cold drinks and snacks... a good motivation for cyclists 😉
Report Check-InWe nearly got fined 1000pula here. There are 2 stop signs coming south to north, and we stopped at the second sign next to the cop who was standing there. She said we should have stopped at first one, then asked us to pull over to pay the fine. We didnt have any cash on us and they wanted to issue a spot fine. After a fair amount of polite argument they let us go. Just be careful to stop at the first sign.
Report Check-InNorth to south after 'sanitising' our shoes were asked what we had in our cooler boxes. Mensioned had no meat and was good to go without physical check. Proceeded to drive vehicle through 'sanitation bath' and on we went.
Report Check-Indriving North South we were stopped and had to clean our shoes, there is still a sign saying no raw animal products, but the officials didnt ask or inspect.
Report Check-InLike stated before- you are only checked if going south. Going north, you are allowed to take whatever you like. Took a look in our fridge full of veggies/eggs and was all good to go 👍
At the time of passing, they were only looking for fresh milk and raw meat.
Report Check-InNo fresh meat nor eggs going south. Don’t know about the other way.
Report Check-InWaved through from south to north. But still stopped at the stop signs
Report Check-InCooked meat is okay. No fresh meat. But we went through with lots of fresh uncooked vegetables.
Report Check-InGoing south, in addition to raw meat, they ask about fruits and vegetables because of fruit flies. No citrus or tomato allowed.
Report Check-InThe officer here said I also couldn't bring fruit and vegetables south, even though the sign clearly mentions only animal products. I lied and said I didn't have any (because otherwise I would have no dinner). He asked if he could search my bags. I said sure. he said nevermind.
