Description
A volunteering organisation running multi day hikes up the volcanoes or around the lakes, and support an local school and orphanage.
The school has 180 students and at the orphanage 20 young people between 10 and 18 years lives.
Your hike supports these young people and we can highly recommend it.
You can stay at hostel Argentina where they have an office.
They have hiking gear and backpacks you can borrow for the hikes.

We wanted to hike a volcano around Quetzaltenango and went to their office. It was a great adventure with them, everything is well organized from transportation to breakfast, lunch and snacks. Our guide Bianca was so passionate and interesting. She cared of everyone's needs and rythme. We paid 300Q per person for the whole day including food and part of this money is reversed to local school and orphanage. You can also get walking sticks with a 100Q deposit. We can only recommend to get to know them, they are amazing!
