Price is now R 330 for 2 people and a tent. Still as described by everyone before. Beautiful and very convenient to access the local area.

Lovely and green place. 300R for 2 pax. Unusual campsite for SA, as there are many small trees everywhere and you find your site a bit yourself. Only 3-4 suitable places to drive in with your own vehicle. Wonderful hosts. Nice communal area with good WiFi and equipped kitchen. The wine tram terminal is a 20minutes walk, the closest vinery only 3minutes. Would definitely come back here.

Still ZAR300 per night, even on long weekend. Quiet, limits no of campers because of number of ablutions. Plugpoint working, scullery and bathrooms clean. Drainage can be a problem in heavy rain. Stunning views and sunsets. Communal kitchen available, we did not need to use it.

Lovely grassy site. Super friendly. Entrance gate opposite sign on road. 300R for 2 people per night. Super clean ablutions. Amazing kitchen area with open fire, pool and fully protected from weather.

We stayed 4 days before our return flight back to Germany. Otter‘s Bend Lodge is a little farm with fruit trees, flowers and vegetable beds. The caravan sites are not special created and located nearby an orchard. They spend all agricultural products to schools in a township nearby and supports the Cape Winelands Biosphere Reserve in its goals. This includes projects to enhance the education of local children that take place on the farm. You can walk either to the center of Franschhoek or to different winerys.

Also Dam cannot be seen as just Reeds. They charged R275 per night. No senior discount.

Very helpful owner responded to emails immediately as was not at property. It is a farm. We were one of two motorhomes. There could be a nice area reserved for one motorhome that was flat and grassed but cars had been parked on it. The space by bus is on a slope that normal ramps would not compensate. The space in fruit trees was uneven and needed to have a tree removed to make easy access and ditch filled in.

The bathrooms were clean and modern but un finished. The electrical point on site was not working. But a long cable extension was given to take from bus. The dishwasher area was not accessible on right of toilets as boards missing. There was no WiFi as indicated on Web site unless it was at lodging. It was an easy cycle 5mins to town or 15 min walk but a bit risky to do at night as Road a bit isolated. Ripped off taxi rate was R120 for 3 min drive!

Beautiful place. You can camp in the middle of pear trees with a view on the surrounding mountains. The place is located close to a small river where you can swim. Very nice kitchen area and friendly staff. We stayed here for one night. It was amazing. Good for hiking and to visit Franschhoek. 250rand for 2ppl and one car

Report Check-In

Nice location, possible to walk to the town. Kitchen area is good. Not really a campsite actually, the two places for overlanders are not really camping spots. Biggest downside is the ablution, only one toilet/shower for all the permanent tents and campsites. The tents were almost fully occupied when we stayed, so the ablution needed to be shared by everybody making it dirty and often occupied.

Not much of a camp! Everything a bit run down. Only 2 spots for vehicle with rooftop tent. Picked the one next to the old London type double decker bus 😁. Views into the mountains beautiful. ZAR250 for 2ppn definitely too much!

Report Check-In

really nice place, walking distance from town, really friendly owner. 250Rand per site per night for two adults in a roof top tent

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet little camping in a little orchard. Totally relaxed and at walking distance from the village with 80+ restaurants. But you can also make your own food in a well equiped kitchen with woodfire and a central braaipit.
But suddenly it was 220 pppn
