Something not right?

Description

Crazy giant campground. lots of bathrooms, sinks, showers, tables. I'm not sure how fun it would be during busy season as it appears it would be insanely crowded.

As it was September, we were one of 3 groups staying there. two toilets were open with amazing hot shower with great pressure.

Free in off-season (?March?-?December?)Highly recommended

TIP: Google Maps will route you through a destroyed road where the river passes but instead there is an official entrance south in the village right across the river from the campsite.

Very large paying campsite since this year because of the very strong increase in the electricity price by the new president (300%), 6000 pesos for 1 motorhome, 1000 per person for 1 tent. Excellent wifi.

Camping muito bom! Espaço enorme, com muitas mesas e churrasqueiras. O ponto alto são as piscinas naturais, maravilhosas! Ponto fraco: muitas moscas!

Report Check-In

Huge space with lots of parillas and tables. Plenty of (dirty) bathrooms spread around the campground. Swimming pool and small shop selling snacks. Few minutes walk to La Olla, a nice canyon where you can swim in the pools

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Really nice spot, we were there during the week in December and it was almost completely empty. Exploring La Olla canyon right next to it was great swimming and relaxing. Great Showers and bathrooms, sinks with water and hose attachment at each site. Spent a couple days washing and resetting our rig after a big loop through the Puna. Can't believe this was free. Wifi not working.

Report Check-In

Hermoso camping.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Big campsite with many bbq areas, tables to sit, firepits, electricity. Toilets are clean but bring your own paper! There are also hot showers. We went here at the end of october, season didn't start yet so it was for free. There is also a shop with snacks and drinks. Perfect location on hot days because there are some beautiful swimming spots around!

Report Check-In

Clean facilities, hot showers, not busy when we stayed mid October. Cool gorge nearby. No charge. The kiosk was open selling cool drinks and snacks.

Report Check-In

Lugar perfeito pra ficar. Espaço de sobra pra motorhomes e trailers, cabanas individuais com teto pra montar barraca, churrasqueiras, parque pra criança, banho quente, muita árvore.

Espaço lindo, muito organizado e arrumado.

E o principal, é grátis.

Perfect place to stay. Plenty of space for motorhomes and trailers, individual cabins with roofs to set up a tent, barbecues, children's playground, hot shower, lots of trees.

Beautiful space, very organized and tidy.

And most importantly, it's free.

Awesome. Off season so we didn’t have to pay anything. Only a few tents and 3 further cars, but it’s so big here you can be alone. Hot clean showers and clean bathrooms. Running water at each spot even covered spaces. Aaaand plenty of Trees for shade
4G Movistar
No service claro

super large park with spots for hundreds of cars. when we arrived, all but 2 spots were occupied so there's like 400 people here! and as of a week ago, charging 300 per person plus 1000 for the car. even our cycling friends were charged per person, but I'm not sure what they were charged to camp. open wifi, but it barely works and cuts out all of the time. don't expect it to do much more then send WhatsApp. not really worth it unless you need a shower and don't need to sleep much...

Report Check-In

Absolutely horrible! Would be a nightmare if we could have gotten some sleep. Don't go here during weekends or holidays. There is no limit on how many people they let on the campsite. It was so busy, there were even people that camped right next to the entrance of the toilet blocks. Toilets were very very dirty. Showers only cold water and also dirty, but makes sense with so many people. Half of them had huge speakers standing outside blaring super loud music until very very late. Expect to not sleep. At all. If we could, we would have left. We felt we were on Pinkpop without nice bands playing. Just bad stereo installations and bad music. Can't believe people with babies stay here.

Report Check-In

As described. Showers were hot, cute older lady at the restaurant served us empanadas and pizza, and petted the blonde kids heads, much to their chagrin. Asada grills all over the place. Hawks flying around to see. Power was great to charge the van after a few cloudy days. Lots of shade for hot days. Find a site and hop out for a few minutes to che knout if there’s a lot of flies in your site, as we found this to be the only annoyance. We strung hammocks from the trees to the van and chilled. Excellent!

Report Check-In

Very nice campground, super big with lots of places with benches tables, barbecues, running water, lights and electricity. Young people from the community clean trash laying around in the evening and staff come in the morning to clean the bathrooms and pickup remaining trash. It was free to stay here. Pool was empty. There is a football field, kids playground and kiosko. Showers at least in the womens bathroom was hot. It’s a place where many people gather so expect a lot of families, friends and music. Most people leave after sunset.
TIP: google maps will route you through a destroyed road where the river passes but instead there is an official entrance which is not in google maps and it’s south in the village right across the river from the campside.

Report Check-In

Reallyyyyyyyy nice place. We’re on bikes and really enjoyed this site. Btw, the big pools are a 5min walk (20-30 steps down, not steep) into the canyon. It’s amazing. We biked to the steps and locked our bikes to the railing, went down to the waterfalls and it was the best way to end the day.

Camping site is awesome. Running water, electricity, sockets, picnic tables in the shade - lots of covered flat spots. At midnight a group of folks showed up and started grilling and playing music loudly. The big lights were on all night too. Hopefully you have a quieter night.

Free !

This was a gem of a find on our drive south to Mendoza. Still free when we were here, open wifi that worked decently, great hot showers and very clean toilets with seats. Sink and barbecue at camp sites.

Free at this time of the year (July 2022). Clean, quiet, hot showers and toilets nearby, stone tables and free Wi-Fi. We met other friendly travelers as we were there. Very good vibes!

Still free and only two tents, we enjoyed the hot shower.
Nice place, lots to do nearby.
Archeological site is only with a guide during the morning, 300 pp, don't know if it's worth we were there during the afternoon...

One of the best campgrounds we've been in Argentina, and all for free!
On sunday even a little kiosk to get some essentials like bread and cold beers.

Nice canyon and natural pools near there.

Good camping! Free off-season, off-season already on on the 25th of March 👍👍
Don't know until when.
Hot shower even off-season.
Lovely lady selling milanesa y empanadas next to the pool.
If you stay there, you have to visit the canyons! Crazy beautiful 👍

Hermoso camping!

Report Check-In

enorme camping municipal, 30 pesos la entrada y 300 acampar. mucha gente

Report Check-In

Big site. 30p pp for day use, except swimming pool. We just need a place to relax and clean up a bit. This did the trick. 400p to stay the night for a camper.

Be careful: it rained heavy and the dry river became a swollen torrent, and we couldn’t get out of the park for about three hours.

Report Check-In

The campsite is finished now. They clean every morning and evening the camping , but seem to forget the toilets 🤔. we had to pay 100 to enter the complex with the car and 230 to camp with a campingcar. I added a picture of the pricelist. 40 peso extra for the swimmingpool or you can swim in the river for free..

Free, i was alone, well i mean camper.
Because at 5 in the morning battle of music between 4/5 cars. For sure clubbing closed and young guy’s want an after. It was friday.. except that really nice installation. A little disclamer be aware of spyder...

Report Check-In

Still free. but for me on a bicycle to get to the tenting zone I would have to cross a river or go on a bridge with stairs. So they allowed me to tent under one of the BBQ roofs. Did not use Wi-Fi. Good hot shower. had to turn some switches on to get light on the closest bathroom. They claim the water is good to drink but some had a lousy smell maybe from not being used. I ended up drinking it and was fine.

No one around except some builders. Free, no wifi, one toilet block open. stayed one night. Nice place near river. 2 shops near entrance. One for local products and other across the street for some drinks

Report Check-In

We stayed here off season, for free. It seems the building work is finished. It's a huge place, with hundreds of BBQ pits, electricity, and an open, free WiFi network close to the cafe near the entrance. Cafe owner was friendly. Only one of multiple toilet blocks was open. We didn't try the showers but washed in the nice river running through the campsite. Quiet, even on Friday night.

Report Check-In

Still under renovation.
Dusty and noisy. Going to be nice when finished.

Report Check-In

Free municipal camping area with good facilities. Toilets were closed and wifi was not available when we visited. Very quiet even on a Friday night. Still lots of work going on building the new camping area, this will be an awesome campsite once all that is finished. We enjoyed our stay here, quiet, free and spacious.

Report Check-In

In low Season nice site to stay one night with Lot of shade and space incl. for big rigs. It was free with access to electrical plugs, tables, benches, shelters for small tents and water but no showers only WC. To not go on a WE because of loud music...

Report Check-In

No one around, WiFi off, a few builders. Maybe better in high season. We decided to carry on Ruta 40 and find somewhere else.

Report Check-In

Pretty municipal camping alongside a river. Currently expanding the camping area and slightly off-season, so no one was available to turn on the WiFi. Plenty of grill and washing stations. Two out of three toilet seats in the men’s toilet, which is two more than I found throughout all Peru.

Didn’t try the showers, as some renovations were taking place there. A car full of very nice cops patrolled through in the evening and gave directions to a nice hiking trail.

Plenty of outlets to plug in.

No cats. Sad.

Report Check-In

I had to open 3 doors to find a clean toilet, I had a place with electricity and a roof with light , but the table was not under the light. Internet fast but it took me at least 15min to download a film. Unacceptable for a free camping...

Report Check-In

Seriously nice camping area. laundry sink, plenty of water, still free, still blazing fast wifi. lots of money put into construction but nothing allocated for maintenance. Filthy bathroom area. Diarrhea all over the shower area.

Report Check-In

Showers are as cold as ice, toilets are filthy. However camping areais really nice.

Wow, free and still in good condition! But first toilet seats start to disappear so hurry up to enjoy this great place. Best Wifi we had in 5 month Argentina ~1GB/hour down- as well as upload.

Report Check-In

We were here early May. Reception etc closed but asked locals and staying here was no problem (free). Great WiFi, lots of nice spots, asado pits and running water. Had been a while since the baños were cleaned so didn't try the shower.
