Something not right?

Description

Very close to central San Felipe and the malecón. Secure location with fenced access to beach. Palapas close to beach cost more. There is a swimming pool, and they are building a new bath house. Current one has flush toilets and hot showers, but are in somewhat disrepair. Good Wifi. The owner/manager--Israel--speaks excellent English and was very helpful and friendly. The campground is pricey--we paid 700 pesos for full hookup next to beach--but walking distance to everything, wifi, and good security were our priorities.

So a little disappointing and expensive. No fires and pets are questionable. We have two dogs and they allowed us to stay. Locals access the gate to use the beach so our really expensive night was shared with locals using our camping spot to access the beach. Locals were scared of our dogs and screamed…. But there are tons of wild dogs running the beach…. Go figure. Beach noise was really loud but it was a Saturday after all. No hot water which was disappointing as I was looking forward to a nice hot shower.

We arrived late in San Felipe due to long wait at the border to get our truckcamper approved for T.I.P. So we decided just to stay one night here. Expensive for it to be off season and no one else here. But as others said felt safe. I would recommend this for people wanting to be close to businesses and have children to play in the pool. But right now the pool water is dirty, some of the campsites are being dug up and you can’t park close to the beach. We wish we had gone just a few meters further to Victor’s. Just know they are expensive too… both had clean bathrooms & showers.

Pool is open. Restrooms are clean. We are the only ones here. Really close to the Melacon. It is $700 pesos a night, but close to everything and safe

Several beach front camping spots and more behind that.
Has picnic tables and BBQs at some.
Electrical, water (not potable), sewer at the sites.
Swimming pool being repaired.
Some room for big rigs (the beach front spots) I was amazed a large fifth wheel maneuvered their way in.
No pull thru spots.

Tall (second story) large place to hang out and watch the ocean.

A fence between ocean and the RV area, 2 gates sometimes open during day but might need to ask to get one open.
Person in shack at RV parking area most times with a cable wire across the driveway.

Quiet most times but can get busy on weekend especially during special events.

3 min walk to Malcon and good coffee shop even closer.

Power, water, hot showers and flush toilets.. the bathrooms were very clean, a bit rustic but not in a bad way just sort of an open air type building. Tables with palm umbrellas at each site. The pool is closed and empty but it's cold now so that could be why. The most expensive in the area at 700 pesos, and couldn't be talked down but we found it worth it for our first night in Baja. The beach side of the property is fenced with a locked gate and there is said to be 24 hour watch from the guard shack. Photos attached.

Good campground, a little bit expensive 38$US or 700 MXN$ by night. Secure place, near the Malecon and downtown.

Feel a bit deceived. The tiki huts/palapas pulled us in. On first appearance it looks nice. I noticed the pool in disarray and assumed it was being repaired for the upcoming season. And perhaps it is. Anyway we paid 700 pesos ($35) for no hookup. We figured pricey but location is good , (and it is)and like I said, from the initial drive in, it looked ok. Unfortunately after paying and parking our van/ (plenty of room for big rigs), I saw the beat up and seriously chipping and peeling picnic tables, overflowing garbage cans, and disgusting bathrooms/ & showers. I am not using them. We’re told this place is secure and have a night watchman, and that’s where our pesos must be going, because no one is doing ‘any’ kind of cleaning. Something like that is easy to do, and I find that inexcusable. Aside from that, the view is amazing! We saw a beautiful sunset and sunrise here! Our neighbors were extremely nice and they set up camp here for 3 to 4 months at a time. They can’t say enough about the owners. I’m just frustrated that the bathrooms and showers are so incredibly dirty. The other frustrating thing from the site here is that although the security is good because there’s a metal fence blocking people from getting in, you have to go and find someone to unlock it to go down to the beach.

Nice park. All hook ups are in excellent working order. Great pool! Good internet. Nice to plug in and recuperate after long trip. Ice cream, Pina coladas, anything you want brought right to your door by very friendly people. Price 650 pesos a night.
