Latest Check-Ins

8 hour limit but we stayed for almost 11 with no issues. Free dump but no water. There’s a spigot near the bathroom but not threaded so couldn’t fill our rv tank

Report Check-In

Great spot to overnight! Nice path to walk through the Redwoods, close the National/state parks, clean bathrooms, picnic tables, fresh water.

Report Check-In

Quiet and safe. Bathroom is clean. Many others sleeping here too.

Report Check-In

Extremely sketchy experience attempting to park for the night in stealth SUV camper. Parked in RV space bc all car parking was full. About to fall asleep when small black or navy car parked behind us, repeatedly flashed lights and kept chirping the car lock. When we got out, noticed a man holding some items and staring boldly, then walking around suspiciously. Trying to directly engage us for some reason. Very creepy. Waited for him to leave, but that wasn’t happening, so we got in SUV, turned on the engine, and flipped around to face his vehicle. He immediately sped away. We opted to park further north at the Holiday Inn/Casino lot in Klamath and got a good nights undisturbed rest. Otherwise the rest stop was peaceful and beautiful.

Report Check-In

Definitely not too noisy. The restrooms were too smelly to even go near the night I parked, but someone cleaned them up and they were fine by the time I woke up in the morning. Waking up to the sunlight through the redwoods was a nice touch.

Report Check-In

Nice rest area, stayed overnight. Not too noisy even though it’s just off 101.

Report Check-In

Quaint, beautiful, quiet. 1 bar Verizon. Stayed at the south bound stop a few nights ago, it's not as good as this one but does have some nice ocean views at the picnic tables. stayed there for 14 hours (I slept in). no one bothered me.

Report Check-In

Free RV dump with standard rinse hose, but not potable water. There are drinking fountains and a few non-threaded spigots in the picnic areas if you have jugs to fill.

We didn't stay overnight. Clean bathrooms and beautiful picnic areas in the Redwoods!

Report Check-In

This is honestly one of the most beautiful rest areas in all of California. I stayed one night and will be staying again. There wasn't a lot of traffic at all on that stretch of the 101, and only a few other vehicles stayed the night. It felt very safe and was incredibly quiet. The only downside is I couldn't get any data signal with T-Mobile, but there was some cell signal so emergency services could be called if need be.

Report Check-In

Perfect rest stop. We stayed 10 hours with no problems.

Report Check-In

Clean, quiet, perfect.
Was able to dump grey water and fill potable water too.

Report Check-In

Gorgeous rest stop. Much more removed from the highway than the southbound one. Clean bathrooms and a water spigot. A few other people sleeping in their cars. No one really seemed to mind the 8 hour limit including the maintenance guy who arrived in the morning.

Report Check-In

Rest stop off the Highway, very quiet. It’s raised a bit away from the road so you don’t have flashing lights or cars passing. It’s right next to the forest so it makes for a beautiful picnic site as well. Few other vans and car campers. Restrooms are clean as well. Excellent stay for a night.

Report Check-In

Stopped at southbound rest area, and luck of the draw had talkative neighbors. Decided to move and try out the northbound, rest area and appreciate the tree dividers so that it is somewhat shielded from the Highway noise. I think it’s worth staying here, regardless of your direction of travel.

Report Check-In

Great rest stop. Clean restrooms, water and a free dump. 8 hour max so please be respectful.

Report Check-In

Very clean, well-maintained. Great ATT service. No Verizon, even with weboost. Lots of trees and secluded a bit off the highway.

Report Check-In

Your typical rest area. Convenient spot for visiting Redwood NP. Fairly busy with overnighters.

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night on a Monday. At least 5 other vehicles stayed the night with me. Beautiful trees and walking trail and for the most part clean facilities, kind of smelly outside sometimes. NO Verizon service. Overall, great pit stop before redwoods.

Report Check-In

free water and dump too! this is a top notch rest area.

Report Check-In

Peaceful and beautiful place to sleep under the trees, other campers and a morning site keeper comes to check facilities. Bathrooms are clean and heated.

Report Check-In

Gorgeous rest area with Redwood groves, water spigot, bathrooms and trash

Report Check-In

Very quiet night felt secure, a lot of vans and others travellers, the toilets are very clean, the little forest in front of us enjoyable for our dogs… some good cell reception… perfect

Report Check-In

absolutely beautiful area to spend the night. lovely to walk around with the puppy too. all the trees were beautiful

Report Check-In

The best rest area I’ve ever stayed at. Ancient redwoods, quiet and clean bathrooms. Much more removed from the 101 than the southbound rest area

Report Check-In

Nice rest stop with clean toilet facilities, potable water and trash/recycling bins. Stayed the night with no issues.

Report Check-In

As previously mentioned, really nice rest stop. Noise from the highway was pretty minimal, the bathrooms are super clean. Water spigot’s working. I stayed more than 8 hours with no issue

Report Check-In

East over night with at least 10 other rigs. Showed up at 8 PM and didn’t leave until 8 AM without issue. No one else from last night had left when we pulled out. Beautiful redwoods here and mostly quiet. Between 1-2 bars LTE on ATT. Garbage cans available. Free!

Report Check-In

Spent the night at the NB Trinidad rest stop. The rest area is beautiful—a lovely walking path into a dark canopy of redwood trees. Clean bathrooms, potable water (might want to let the faucet run a bit), and a really kind rest stop attendant named Jeff. A good place to feel relaxed and safe to rest for the night.

Report Check-In

Wonderful rest area. Stayed 10pm-7am on a Monday night and it was very quiet; only 2 other folks spending the night. A decent ATT service. Can confirm the northbound rest area is superior the southbound. Northbound is more secluded in the trees and slightly elevated above 101. Southbound is very open right on the highway.

Report Check-In

beautiful pull out, super clean bathrooms open all night, really quiet 🤫

Report Check-In

100%recomendado!

Stayed here over New Year's Eve had two other class B fans spending the night also no problems beautiful place

Report Check-In

This is a lovely place for an overnight.
We stayed a second night after hiking in the redwoods all day. Talked with the maintenance guy - he takes great pride in keeping the place nice.

Report Check-In

Awesome stop. Very clean, good water available, friendly ranger with good tips on road closures. Many other overnighters, including a tent. First time I’ve seen that at a rest stop. We may have stayed slightly over the 8 hr timeframe.

Report Check-In

Beautiful and quiet rest area. Admittedly, we were here for a good 13 hours rather than 8 and no one bothered us. There are picnic areas an a small trail/walking area around the back of the rest stop where you can see some redwoods. Would definitely stay here again

Report Check-In

Really nice and quiet stop for the night if you are passing through.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot for a rest area, lots of trees and was able to fill my water.

Report Check-In

very convenient...several others campers

Report Check-In

Very nice and clean rest area, we spend one night really quiet, you can stay only 8 hours

Report Check-In

Back open. Lots of campers resting for the night. No Verizon service but the southbound rest area has 1 bar of service.

Report Check-In

It still says closed for repair at the moment.

Report Check-In

Still closed for renovations. Take Patrick's Point exit to loop back down to southbound rest area.

Report Check-In

Closed for repair right now..............,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Report Check-In

Still closed, unfortunately, because it looks much better than the southbound, more secluded.

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet place to spend the night. Potable water, picnic tables, clean restrooms and abeautifull forest to walk around.
Weer other travlers here and many people came to talk to us about ouw word wide trip.

Report Check-In

Nice Rest Area with toilet and dump station. 8 hours allowed, but many RV‘s stay longer - no problem. We stayed one night.

Report Check-In

Good little spot to let dogs out, there’s clean bathrooms and fresh well water here that’s free, just run it first for about 3 minutes. Nice spot to rest and take a good break.

Report Check-In

Good spot, a bit off the freeway and separated by trees. Definitely looked better than the southbound rear area.

Report Check-In

Un "rest area" parfait pour une nuit, très boisé. Nous ne sommes pas les seuls...

Report Check-In

As described before, nice place to stay for a night on your way North/South. We stayed at the one in the North bound. Don't know how the one in the SB is, but there were also strange people here. We saw the 8 hours sign but no one seemed to bother. Plenty of travelers/people living in their cars. It was ok. No T-Mobile service.

Report Check-In

Free rest area with good facilities just off the North bound 101. Car parking separate to RV/Truck parking and right under some trees so very quiet overnight. Clean facilities, water spigots and even a free dump station.
8hr maximum stay but this is not strictly enforced.

Report Check-In

Nice rest area, free dump station and water. Picnic tables, and even a beautiful walk in the forest! Free!

Report Check-In

Great place with clean restroom and picnic table. Many people who sleep in his car.

Report Check-In

8 hours parking allowed. Good rest area. Much better than the one south bound.
