Description

We didn´t want to camp on the side of the road so we asked the guy on the house if we could park beside the river in his land. He said OK, leaving some tip or food. We left quinoa, mote and green tea and he was more than happy. Stayed 2 nights.
I asked for the toilet and shower and he let me use them... I think it will depend on who's running the house.
The place is so beautiful, full of condors flying over the hills, view of a glacier and the fiords... very pretty!

Pretty much deserted (but beautiful, landscape-wise) place when we came, except for one worker who was staying in the house. When we knocked the door and asked him if it was allowed to wild camp on the beach parking lot, he spontaneously offered us free parking on the terrain of the Estancia, where there is less wind. He also kindly offered us some hot water for our thermos.

Beautiful place in the middle of nowhere. The owner is very friendly. Still building it. Price still 10.000 p.p, you can use a warm/ hot shower in the evening, toilet. Baño s are clean! For tents they ve the shelter. The cars can stay in the front of the building. Very windy. You can warm you up in there kitchen area. No gas station there close. Good fishing in the river for trout and salmon . He offers glacier tours, with Kajak, and go on the glacier . Brandnew boat! You can do a lot of hiking in this area on unmarked trails. No Pinguins anymore!! No cellphone service !

Great place. Can camp for free on beach or pay for facilities at Caleta Maria. Glacier paddling tours or boat tours either with Camilo at house or Pechuga on beach. Beautiful spot. No services.

Beautiful place right at the fjord. Very nice people who are building up a campsite. Everything is still pretty basic but some volunteers and workers are working to change that and are very hospitable and helpful. We built our tent in a shelter in case it gets windy. Suggested payment 10,000 clp. Definitely recommended to come here.

Beatiful view on bluish lake and mountains and glacier. Worth the also beautiful but long ride. There used to be 8 king pinguins here, but so sad, 7 have been killed recently by a wild dog/stray dog.. unbelievable. There’s supposed to be one left but we haven’t seen it. We paid 10.000 for 4 and camper. Toilet fine.

The weather turned on us and there was wind and a lot of rain while were looking for a wild camping spot for our tent. We didn't find any good spots and ended up here. And we are glad we did. It is such a beautiful place with a great beach and mountain landscape. Caleta Maria started to take money for camping though (10.000 Pesos for two in a tent), but you get access to the kitchen, toilet and hot shower for this. The owner and two other guests were super friendly. Loved it.
