Kalwa Guest Farm | Established Campground

Quiet, 5km from the main road. A family live on the place (20 meters from the camp), and a village is in the forrest few kilometers behind the farm. Price K75 per adult per night, paid directly to the family on site.
The housse is no more useful, clearly "Haunted house"!
Toilets no more available : one is broken in two parts, the other one is really dirty and blocked.
OK for une night as wildcamp, and if you are ready to give some money to the locals.

If you like the "Sleeping Beauty Fairy tale", then you're right here. As mentioned before, no amenities whatsoever. Camping on front lawn of big abundant farm building. Sleeping inside is USD5; bring your own bedding.

5km from the main road, there is a sign. Big rig friendly though the track is a bit bumpy there are no low trees.

Guys are really friendly, offered to make us a fire as we arrived after dark. House has no power or water but buckets to flush. I think they can make buckets of hot water for bathing. Security guards and dogs too.

Nice stopover.

Park and camp on the lovely flat front lawn of a rundown old farmhouse. Use the bathroom inside the farmhouse, but note that there is no longer running water to the building. Attendants will bring you buckets of water for washing and flushing the loo. Apparently this place is owned by the church and run by the local community. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and helpful.

We were charged 60 kwacha pppn, and didn't bother negotiating. Great stopover.

largely the same as in 2017. Nice spot, minimal facilities. Asked 100 ZKw p.p. paid 50 each.

Large active farm. Camping on over grown front lawn. Friendly people. Great price 50ZKW pp. No amenities. Access to toilet in farm house. No lights. No water. That's in the house.
