Mexico
On the plus side, this place is prime real estate, right on the sand at Bahia principal. It has bathrooms and wifi. Um...I struggle with anything else positive. We are not fussy people, usually happy with a safe place to park and a toilet is a bonus. But this place is gross. The family who run it sit around all day as the bathrooms and showers remain unclean, there are mounds of trash and piles of clothes strewn around, and the 'campsite' is literally next to the bathroom. They are also pretty sour faced; don't say 'hola' and look like they really want you to leave. Needless to say, it was not our fave spot. The beach is ok, but we reckon keep heading east on the Oaxaca coast or if you are drawn to escondido, try playa carizilillo instead.

The original review is still accurate. Which is unfortunate ;( . The disco right beside finally shut down at 2AM. The birds who live on the trees above made a mess of our truck.
On the plus side… OMG right beside a gorgeous beach!
Report Check-Inone of the worst places we have stayed, paid or free. Everything is dirty, the toilets don't work, the showers barely have water, and there is stuff and garbage everywhere. The family that runs this place is just sitting around, throwing their dirty diapers on the ground all over the place.
stayed here one night because we got into Puerto Escondido pretty late, $60pp.
there are a few options around for about the same price that are much better
Report Check-InThis is a place where you can pitch your tent in a fenced area right on the main beach of Puerto Escondido. For car campers it’s just a parking lot large enough for one car of about 7 X 2 m (height limit about 3 m) behind the sanitary building. For us it was nice enough, clean enough and the people were friendly enough to stay two nights. MEX$ 60 per person.
