we got stuck bad on this one road at one point it used to be a road i think but with rain it wached out and there was a big hole we could not see because there was bamboo and leaves looked like someone put it there 🤔 so just be carfull going to this beach if not it was a nice beach for surf fanatics ^^

Stayed here two times.
First time everything all right , slice of paradise with nice surf in front. Friendly tourists and locals come for a chat.
Second time we met the US guy.... Starting shouting right from the start, so didn't really fancy a talk in this way. Troubled soul indeed. We left for another place, not interested in any yes/no arguments with this monkey. First time we met anyone like this in 16 months of camping.

Perfect spot right at the beach nearby the sea, close to the beginner surf spots. There is a restaurant la cantina la vida where you can rent a surfboard. We could also use the pool and shower there. Very friendly staff. We didn't see a house owner as other comments mentioned. The place has good shades and it's quiet. You need a 4x4 to come down. We had perfect nights here together and had the hole beach for ourselves.

We have camped here 3 days. The place is amazing, the jungle is gorgeous, the waves are long and mellow.
The space is not so big and at best can fit one big rig and few vans. and yes, there are no facilities, we found that the best way to keep this place clean is to make good use of a shovel and plant your compost away from other tourists/beach dweller eyes and noses.
One thing is for sure: IT IS COMPLETELY LEGAL TO CAMP OVER HERE. In fact in CR laws 50m from the line of high tide is public space, and anybody can camp for as much as they like. Cops came to tell us we have to leave, and we just said we will go away at night and come back the next day, so they had to leave because they knew they were doing something illegal (kicking people out). We received a lot of support from the locals, who are very well aware of these kind of abuse of power. We also saw this famous US guys who leases gvmt-lands right in front. He definetely is a bittered soul who needs 4 guard dogs to walk the few yards to get to the beach, quite sad for him. He definetely is behind all this, but dont worry, just stay cool, be nice with the cops, keep clean, and enjoy this incredible place

Apparently camping here is not legal since the only place to camp is only a few meters from the beach. This is really just a short beach access road with no place to camp without being in everyone’s way who is trying to access the beach. You can try to camp here but we learned that you may be kicked out by the police at any time of day or night :(. There are better places to camp like Osa Vita and a spot near Osa Vita.

We spent about 5 nights here. It is incredibly beautiful. In that time, some guy from the states that owns a property behind here came and yelled at everyone twice and called the police once. I spoke to him for a while and he had a few points. He mentioned his guests and the main point he made that I understood was about people shitting everywhere. Which is valid, there are no toilets there and I think you should consider buying extra bags and as horrible as the thought is use them to go to the bathroom and pack everything out with you when you leave. This is what we did. There was another couple there doing the same thing. I hated it and it was only the second time we have done it this trip but there are too many people camping there and no facilities and I think to keep this place as pristine and beautiful as it is, this really needs to be done. We did see paper in the bush a few times and it was pretty terrible. We're all doing the same thing because we all love travel and the planet and beautiful things and places so I think this should be a strong consideration. P.S The guy says it's illegal to camp there due to some thing called article 10 but when you actually research this its heavily disputed amongst Costa Ricans due to the wording in the law saying something like "camping on the beach is illegal unless no other alternative is available." There is not another option here so I suppose it is fine but yeah he will try and throw that at you. I honestly think his intentions are good but he definitely goes about it the wrong way.

A bit more easy for swimming compare to other playas around, also a bit more sand. Enough room to turn around . Good shade under trees. There is a trail along the coast to go to next playa south, more sandy but at moment rough surf. Tucanos, parrots, red macow and pelican spot during our stay. We also when to a nice waterfall nearby. Walk back on the road where you cross a river, just before the river you see a trail, follow it where you see a big log across the river cross and stay on the left, from there you can follow the river up to the waterfall scrambling or take the trail that is on the left, the trail climb to the road, is a road of a resort, go up until you see a opening that say self guided tour, follow the trail and it will bring you to the waterfall good hole for swim.

Amazing place to camp. With our F350 truck and camper we just made it down to the spot. High clearance vehicle is definitely recommended. We stayed for 4 days and loved every moment of it. No facilities close by. Bring enough water and food for your stay and make sure you take your rubbish out again.

Dreamy spot. We enjoyed 4 peaceful nights. There were other campers, and overlanders here during our time. We saw all 4 types of monkeys, and tons of macaws. Lots of day users, but everyone was chill.
