Street parking in front of dump station, very close to waterfront. All other street parking in this area now has clear “No overnight parking” signs.

You'd never know that there was a public dump station at the Hood River treatment plant... except for sites like iOverlander and sanidumps.com. A lack of a dump station at a nearby (10-15 miles away) Oregon State Park required that we find a dump station someplace fairly near the park we stayed at so we could lighten our load before we headed home. Everything worked properly at the dump station, but the dump hole cover appeared well used. The design of the dump station was really good and a small spill or a bit of a slight hose leak would easily go down the drain because of how distinctly sloped the concrete is down to the dump hole. The only drawback is that there is a noticeable treatment plant smell while you are dumping there. Potable water is located farther forward from the dump station, in typical fashion, dump first, pull forward, and fill your fresh tank.

Easy access off the interstate. Popular, so there may be a bit of a wait on busy weekends.

Nice dump site! Has two separate pull ups for dumping and potable water which is always nice so you don’t feel rushed if someone is behind you. Clean and spacious.

Report Check-In

came here in early October and filled up on water and dumped for free at around 5 p.m. on a Friday

Clean, easy to find, near activities, food and I84. This station is clean, and has a chain with hook attached so you don’t have to touch your hands or feet to the actual drain cover like other dumps. Best of all, it’s FREE for dump and portable water. I don’t see restrictions in terms of what time you can visit. I stopped here at 3:45pm on a Sunday.

I don’t see a campground here as referenced in other posts. I know this exact area is a newer development so perhaps the campground closed.

Small Camping ground a little outside of Hood River, it is called Tucker Park. Nice spot for a stopover and the town is also nice to have a walkaround. stayed here with our campervan (20' long) for 1night. cost us 20dollars.
we parked at the end loop of the park closer to the river and not an rv slot
