As said before, camping right at the beautiful lagune of bacalar!
For most people it‘s a daytime hang out and chill area (day-pass $35) but you can also camp overnight (as of march19: $150 pP). We were there during the weekend with perfect weather meaning yes, it was crowded but still okay (probably even more relaxed during the week). From 6pm on we were almost alone just two other groups with tents. Really quiet during the night, just the normal barking of some dogs here and there.

Pro: BEAUTIFUL place to chill, enjoy the fresh water and view

Con: toilets are taken care of and cleaned but still a little gross

We would say it‘s overpriced for what it is (the restaurant too) but it‘s still an amazing set-up. We would absolutly stay here again!

camping right at the spectacular lagune of bacalar. we payed 100 pesos per person. good for a dog. grassy campingarea. no electricity,no wifi, cold showers and toilet, which didn't work properly. we thought it is bit expensive for what the camping offers.

Report Check-In

The bathrooms were gross. 160.00

Report Check-In

Still a camp site 75p per person, nice grassy field on the lake but decided to move on to Yax Ha.

Report Check-In

- we were asked for 150 pesos for the two of us, but managed to talk it down to 100
- we didn't spend a lot of time here - it was raining and the ground was soaked (could have been an issue for 2WD if you were not careful at that time)
- basic cold showers, a bit iffy flushing toilets, we didn't see any electricity, but we didn't look for it
- right on the lake
- no wifi
- small bar on site serves cold beer and some drinks
