Highly recommended, late November full of pelicans, friendly, quiet little town. We slept on the esplanade on the other side of the Petatán sign. Silent and safe night.

Park on the entrance of the small town and walk to the plaza. Buy some fish from kids and see the pelicans in action! we counted more than 600! The mango on a stick taste great. they cut it like a flower!

Nice little malecon, locals hanging out, stalls with snacks (decaffeinated iced coffee). Only pelicans didn't show up. We might have overlooked the fact that it was Sunday and fishermen didn't work?

The children that can sell you fish for the pelicans are equally as entertaining. The parking is being revamped so we paid 30 pesos to a local for parking in their yard.

Un lugar perfecto para ver los pelicanos, a las 4pm los pescadores les dan de comer es un espectaculo. Nosotros pernoctamos en el parking delante del malecon, gratis. Tambien muy buenos restaurantes..

It’s really worth the stop! Bring time with you! We spent around three hours watching the Pelicans. Between 3pm and 4pm the local fishermen bring the rests from fish cleaning to this place. Afterwards hundreds of Pelicans come to the shore to eat.
