not realy for bigger rigs, only normal parking lots next to the church, on the street where lots of cars when we arrived, so we left
Report Check-InLovely little church in a quiet village. There was absolutely no one here we we arrived around 5pm on a Saturday, we asked the church caretaker if it was ok to park near the church/town square and he said yes “muy tranquilo”, then he said a few other things that I didn’t quite understand but ended with thumbs up and “muy tranquilo”. About an hour later a marching band arrived, then more people, there was some sort of a celebration at the church and before we knew it the marching band was playing and we were surrounded by cars and people (all very friendly). This lasted a couple of hours and then the village emptied quickly… the night was indeed “muy tranquilo “.
Bathrooms with showers open 24/7. Didn’t see the tap to fill up water but we weren’t looking for it
Cute little village, very quiet at night, small food truck in the main square. Toilet and shower open day and night. Water to fill the tank. December 1, 2022 there were 2 month old puppies running around we were asked if we wanted one but we already have a Shiba inu it's enough in a van 🤗
Report Check-InRecommended for an overnight stop between Oaxaca and the coast. Very quiet, friendly people. Church is nice, worth a stop. What is mentioned with "2 nice beaches" in a comment further down might be playas at two lakes in a distance of 6 KM.
Report Check-InI posted a pic of what the church looks like now. Great place to pull over for a night. Can’t even call it a town, just one or two streets.
Report Check-InLugar increíble y sumamente tranquilo, ideal para descansar unos días, hay dos playones enormes. La gente del lugar sumamente amable.
Amazing place and extremely quiet, ideal to rest a few days, there are two huge beaches. The people of the place extremely friendly.
Report Check-InWe didn't see the big open field that Thoray described and parked under the trees directly besides the church (maybe it got a new painting but for sure it wasn't red-white :-)).
Spoke to the caretaker (?) if the church and he said it is ok to stay for the night. Didn't use any facilities/bathrooms.
The church bells rung once at 6pm. We expected a service on Sunday morning but it remained quiet until we left at 10:15am.
Parked across the street from the church and the basketball courts. Asked at the church and they said it is safe and no problem to stay. There was nothing open in this town and felt like a ghost town. Quiet other than a few trucks in the hiway. Good overnight on the way to Oaxaca
Report Check-InAs already mentioned, a good and quiet overnight spot. We stayed N 16.39834, W 096.66229 past the church, on a big open field behind a little tienda at the corner of the 'Agencia Mpal Tesoreria'.
Report Check-InA respectable Overlander overnight(s) spot. Easy access for all rigs. It's a parking lane along the public square road, behind the brownish red church, shady trees, very quiet. You park next to a music chapel sort of a building thing. And there you see definitely blue, and yellow and beige. So our first spot discoverer is colourwise not much to blame, we think. Nice spot, we stayed a few days. Little supermarket shops, one with a few internet computers and wifi and a bit of streetfood stalls.
Report Check-InGood to stay overnight, quiet. No infrastructure.
