MODERATOR NOTE: WARNING! Thefts and vandalism reported in this location. Please use caution.

Large spacious camp ground next to the hotel. Good security and fence around the whole place. Ablutions plenty of them. Right next to the Zambezi river. $N140 per person (Dec 21) A bit noisy but still nice. Some taps have potable water just ask the security guard. Showers now working and smelling fine.

The amenities are fine and the staff helpful. The view over the river is beautiful, but a new shebeen has opened next door and it plays loud music all night.

Report Check-In

Nice sites. some shade.
Power points
Potable water.
Clean ablutions.
On the bank on the Zambezi river.
Nice place

Report Check-In

As described by others. But note should be taken that there seems to be little if any control at the entrance in preventing any non camping members of the public from entering and using the site to picnic etc thereby denying access to some spots for any campers who unlike the public have paid to stay and use the braais, ablutions etc. We didn't have any security issues but security is a possible problem especially at night. Keep your stuff locked up securely! Very friendly staff, nice restaurant, fair wifi and a reasonable fee for camping.

Warning20.08.2022 we (elderly couple) stay for one night, no other Guest on the Camping Site.Early in the morning burglars try to get access, fortunately they wasn’t successful. No security, very bad response from the manager.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite by the river, a bit noisy from the pub across the river, but with ear plugs we had a good night sleep. Some ants in the ablutions, but still clean, hot showers.
Every spot has their own working bench and electricity.

Report Check-In

It`s OK for one night especially if you want to go early to the border on the next day. You can do it easily with a truck. Not cleaned up very well. Security could be better but we had no problems. Friendly staff.

Report Check-In

Still a good place to camp close to the cbd and when one wants to get ready for the next leg of the journey.
On the river with green lawn and lots of shade trees. Clean ablutions with hot water, 220V plug points and braai stands at each site.
Affordable rates @ NAD120ppn
Reccommend.

This Place is a campsite Erich ist Part of an exklusiv Hotel. We were standing here for 2 Nights. It was absolut top, clean and Frindly. The Price ist - Even it is Part of superhotel - low. 140 pppn. The Swimmingpool Pool and wifi near the reception is free. In the Night you can Hear the hippos. They come near the Camp. And you Vanessa observe them Honig back to the sambesi in the Earl morning,
Do Not forget That the caprivi area is Malaria Region! Therfore use repellents, prophylaxe Moskitonet etc…..

Report Check-In

The showers are running with water from the river (I think). It smells like you‘re showering with 1000 fishes. Really, really ugly.

Report Check-In

No water at the campsite so no shower, no toilet flushing. The pool was full of local children.
We’re a little depressed. Stayed only one night. Electricity at our campsite also broken.

Report Check-In

Lots of green grass to camp on. Nice pool with WiFi at the pool.

Report Check-In

nice place, 140 pppn, no wifi in camp area

Report Check-In

Great place, just don’t stay Friday or Saturday nights or Zambian holidays or at months end (Pay day) due to the loud music from across the river.
Big crocodiles in the river, don’t go near it, Wildlife were (gung-ho) shooting one when I stayed as it had just attacked a village lady downstream.
Nice staff, I use this as a point of ‘civilisation’ in between bush camping. Great showers and toilets. Armed guards at night as Zambians float across the river at night to steal things. Not as bad as it sounds lol

Report Check-In

Unexpectedly huge, completely grassy campground with a lot of mango trees. Ablutions good, pool clean, 114pppn. However, the music which crosses the Zambesi from time to time from the Zambian side can get awfully loud. Sometimes it is just a distant sound, but once in a while it feels like trying to sleep in a club. According to staff, its unpredictable home loud the night will be.

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet campsite close to the Sambesi river, hippos are nightimes at the campground as well if you're lucky. Probably it happened because of Covid-19. We were the only guest's for a week.

Report Check-In

As was described nice camp on the river still 140 N$. If you need supermarket Shoprite is the best.

Report Check-In

Very impressive campground in the bank of the Zambezi river within the hotel grounds. Friendly and efficient staff. Good pitches. Sparkling clean toilet block. Nice swimming pool. Great bar and reasonable a la carte menu, but actual food not great and a long wait.
We paid 140pppn. We stayed seven nights.
Note: distant music does drift in from across the river, but did not bother us.

Report Check-In

The facilities are kind of old and nobody seems to be watching the place. But the shower is hot, pool is nice and there’s a nice view of the river. Braai area all over the place. Good price, specially because children under 12 don’t pay - 140 ND.

Report Check-In

for Namibia's backyard the best camp i've seen. the Camp is now registered under the Marriott Hotels . the Pool is very nice and usable Boy campers, Wifi as it's best.we paid 170 N$ ppn.

Report Check-In

This has always been a reliable if not perfect stopover for us over the years. Tonight we noticed that none of the spotlights that used to floodlight the river were working properly, then security came round to ask us to "take everything inside as people are coming across from Zambia in canoes to steal". I think there may be a correlation here somewhere. This is really annoying as we don't want to lose our power cable and therefore have had to disconnect. Yet again it seems that lack of maintenance is at the root of the issue.

Report Check-In

nice campsite, all ok.
reception of Zambia Airtel which is way cheaper than Namibian MTC.

Report Check-In

The setting is nice on the banks of the Zambezi. But it was all very noisy and a bit run down though when we were there. The ablutions are old and not very clean. The pool was dirty and therefore not usable and a part of the campsite was being used as a dump site with all kinds of old furniture, machines, air cons. etc. It’s ok for a night though and still N$
140 pp.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite . The pool is great. Ablutions clean.

Report Check-In

Only camped for 1 night.

The security night guard told all campers to put back ALL the camping stuff during the night, even chairs and table and laundry etc. due to night visitors that come by boat. My camp
neighbors did spot the boat at 2 AM, cruising along the shore and spotting with an orange light.

Obviously they do have a security problem :-(

Still 140 NAM $ pppn.

Fast internet, LTE with MTC.

Nice Mango Trees <3

Report Check-In

Really nice place at the beautiful river under Mangotrees. Good ablutions and fast Wifi near the pool

Still 140NAD pppn. Quite a lot of speed boats operating from the site now - some may find it interesting, others annoying.
Always a useful utility stop though.

Very nice campsite spread along Zambezi river bank as part of hotel grounds. Electricity, good ablutions, grass, some shade, braai places, hotel pool usable by campers, free wifi in hotel. N$140 pppn camping. Reportedly best place to camp in town.

Report Check-In

Campsites along the river front adjacent to the main hotel, 280nad for two people, lots of room around you, decent ablution block, wash up area, swimming pool was very welcome indeed, ok for a night

Report Check-In

A nice place to camp.
All sites on grass with electricity and light. Ablusions are OK.
Beautifull look at the Zambezi river.
Swimming pool not big but good enough for cooling off.
In about 45 minutes you can walk to centre with all the shops.
Price:N$140 pp wich is OK.
We came for 1 night but stayed 3 :-o

Report Check-In

Indeed spacious camping with enough hot showers and toilets, there's good WIFI at the reception.
It was completely empty when we stayed there.

If needed(we went to Victoria Falls by public transport for Nam$200,- pp to save the hassle of going across the border with a car without a carnet) you can park your car here secured for Nam$50,- per day.

Report Check-In

Large spacious camp ground next to the hotel. Good security and fence around the whole place. Ablutions clean and plenty of them. Right next to the Zambezi river. $N140 per person. A bit noisy but still nice.
