Latest Check-Ins

I stayed there three nights in my tent. They have space for two tents and two cars. For a tent it’s 3000CFA/night. The wifi is really good & you can charge your devices in the restaurant. The place is nice, has a lot of shadow and is quiet. Unfortunately the beach isn’t as clean as you could swim there and the way to the city centre is quite long.

Report Check-In

We stayed a week. Fair price, 6000F with electricity and use of bathrooms, showers and common areas. Bar/restaurant on site, several restaurants and convenience store and fish market nearby. Possibility to load water and do laundry for a fee. Very chill place where you can meet the locals and drink a beer under the palm trees. For campers/vans it is not possible to discharge waste water. I recommend parking on the side of the bar to avoid the poop of the hawks that dirty the vehicle!

Report Check-In

Ok, it's a bit rough, and the birds are one of its downsides, but it's the best place to meet all kinds of travellers, sailors, overlanders, locals, expats and some genuine pirates.
Camping in your own tent costs 3k, and the basic but clean rooms start at 8k, probably as cheap as it can get in Dakar. Prices go down if you stay over a week.
The bar is well stocked and a great place for socialising.
Restaurant is not working anymore, but efforts were made to resuscitate it last time I was there. There are good places to eat across and along the street.
Access to the city centre very easy with a train station 10mn walk away.
All in all, nothing fancy, but a great place to stay in Dakar. I wouldn't go anywhere else if coming back again.

A night for the carnet, but no longer. It costs 5,000 for a car with driver. Each additional person 2,000. We paid a total of 7,000.

Report Check-In

6000 CFA/night, mosquitos and birds pooping overhead, but next to the water with electricity and WiFi and a bathroom, so some pros and cons.

Report Check-In

Very basic, but only 12000cfa for 2 nights with 4x4 and electric..

Report Check-In

a little paradise after the traffic chaos in Dakar habour.

Report Check-In

People are friendly like others said space for a few vehicles. Shower is great, toilet is fine. We didn't think it was particularly smelly or dirty. Great base to visit Dakar/stamp your carnet.

Report Check-In

we were able to return with our 7.50m long and 4m high truck. it gets really limited but it does. the people are all very nice and there are plenty of craftsmen to help around. 5000cfa for the night +1000 for electricity. Go place to star and visit dakar

Report Check-In

Spent 2 nights there in a 4x4 with RTT.
paied 5000 CFA the night.
Great spot if you have to apply for some visa.
There was a pump running near the waer so it was quite noisy during the night

Report Check-In

This place is run down but OK for a couple of days if you have no alternative in Dakar.
We parked our car inside and they let us pitch our two tents under the trees. Beware, lots of birds around droping bird shit or half eaten fishes. Strong smell...
Showers and toilets are very dirty.
Apart from that, good atmosphere with sailing people around and lots of shade !
Probably the cheapest way of staying in Dakar. Rooms for 2 are 10 000 FCFA.
Car is 1 000 FCFA per day
And we paid 3 000 FCFA per person per day to pitch our tents !

Report Check-In

Ok pr 1/2 nuits

Same as discribed by .
Price still CFA5000 for 2 persons and 4x4. For electric you pay extra.
There is a small restaurant for simple meals.
There are more cats then sailboats in the harbor here. So bring your dog ;-p

Report Check-In

Paid 5000 per vehicle. Reasonable for Dakar. A 2000cfa taxi ride away from customs to get the Carnet stamped.
Worth a stop for a night if you need to get this done. Highly recommend the nearby la corvette restaurant if you’re looking to treat yourself.
Showers and toilet run down.
WiFi fast

Report Check-In

don't go there if you have to sleep in a tent. The cats around rip it while you have dinner...
Shower is probably the most run down I've seen in whole Africa.
food in the restaurant was good.

Report Check-In

Stayed here a few nights very relaxed and cheap place to hang out in Dakar. I was traveling by Moto and got serviced by Fara Moto

possibilité de remplir une bouteille de gaz au CDV

First the guy who i thought was the owner asked 5000CFA per night for 4x4 and 2 people. In the end his colleague said it is a non profit community and the correct price is 3000 CFA.
Shower, power, fast wifi, laundry service (+/-3000CFA or DIY) good pizza (4800CFA), beer and friendly atmosphere.

Report Check-In

Good and cheap place to camp in Dakar. Me + motorbike + tent 3000 cfa per night, also there is a good bike-mechanic in the courtyard

Report Check-In

Agree to all below. Two additions: toilets have been renovated recently; no problems with flies and mosquitos anymore. Price has changed to 5.000 cfa per vehicle. Still good value for money. We recommend this place!

Report Check-In

I would really recommed this place if you wanna spend some time in Dakar, there is really a lot to do here! Stayed 5 nights, felt safe, friendly atmosphere in general. One advice about going to the city centre or anywhere else in Dakar. DONT DRIVE YOUR CAR! Traffic jam allday long and its pretty horrible! If you have a scooter or bike its ok, but never ever with a car! Bus no. 15 goes to city centre, ticket costs 150 CFA. Lot of other buses on the main square (place de l independance) to get to other parts of town. (no. 7 to the african renessance monument, no. 10 to west corniche). But as mentioned above, takes time, coz of the terrible trafic situation :)

Report Check-In

Possible to camp, 3000FCFA for a car for a night. Not a real camping but still nice environment, there was no work going on at the garage, friendly staff, fast WiFi at the restaurant, possibility to get your laundry done. Nice spot to wait while getting a visa

Report Check-In

As noted, not a real campground. More a courtyard. Bar is a bit run down and smokey... toilets smell gross and are also like that...douches the same... at least the wifi is pretty good and solid and it's cheap for Dakar

Report Check-In

Cheap place to camp in Dakar. Very handy when you need to apply for visas in Dakar. It only has place for 2-3 vehicles.

It is more a small courtyard, with a boat mechanic, motorbike mechanic/-shop, restaurant (which has fast WiFi) and a campsite with a couple of rooms that you can stay in.

A little bit chaotic, but the people are very friendly. There is a nice atmosphere.

Toilet and (airtemparature) shower facilities not superclean. Also bring a mosquito killer with you to the toilet. There are heaps of them!

Costs: 3000 CFA per vehicle per night.

Report Check-In

Nice place, with a good atmosphere. Showers are at air temperature.
We have been able to park our 7.2 m long and 3.1 m high motorhome,
but it has been tough....Fast internet. Its possible to have breakfast and lunch at reasonable prices. Lot of shops nearby.
Price of 3000 cfa per vehicle include electricity and water..
Its possible to get help in case of electrical or mechanical problems.
Very helpful people.
Taxi to downtown Dakar is 1500 cfa.
