A quiet campground on the edge of town with friendly owners and good views.
Basic facilities, not the cleanest but fully functional.
There are four dogs here that are friendly but will wet your tent in the night but didn't bark in the night.
Find the twin-towered church in town to get close to the Forte dom Pedro then go north a few blocks. At the information boards at the entrance to the fort, turn left (west) and follow the road and you will pick up signs to the campground three or four hundred metres away.
R$20 1 person tent and moto

This place is wonderful. We initially had planned 1 nights and stayed 2 nights. The owners are really nice persons, willing to share and to help as much as they could. The view is beautiful. We had wifi and electricity. We were even sad to leave.
Very nice place for a night or two. Limited facilities but if you are self efficient, then it’s a nice place.
Report Check-InVery nice place to camp. Splendid views, warm welcome by the owners. As we only arrived late to leave early in the morning, we didn't pay anything. The place definitely would have been worth a longer stay 😊
Report Check-InLugar muito bonito, anfitriões super atenciosos, serviço completo, seguro, tranquilo, valor abaixo do mercado.
Very beautiful place, super attentive hosts, full service, safe, quiet, below market value.
Report Check-InBeautiful site on top of a hill with a great sunset (even while there are some clouds). Interesting statue, one of three in the area.
Access to bathrooms in a restaurant-like building with a professional kitchen (which may be used as well) and showers in one of the cabañas.
Report Check-InFour dogs here. They run and bark at the bike in and out of the site and cock their leg up your tent in the night.
The man couldn't remember the WiFi code so I did without internet.
Rustic place with good views. Popular on Sunday with lots of cars parked in the field.
Electric points in the camping area, lights and a kitchen area.
Low trees to keep cool and string up a hammock.
Report Check-InBeautiful place and very nice owners. Do not trust Maps.me, the spot is right but Maps.me guide you by the wrong path. Ask a local for campamento.
Report Check-InAs described. Lovely place outside town overlooking the valley with an awesome sculpture of a warrior maiden. Ernie and wife are super friendly. I parked outside the gate due to height restriction but it is all their land. Access to kitchen and dining area, which also has toilets. They opened one of the cabañas fire me to use bathroom. Hot shower. Still R$20 per night.
