Something not right?

Description

A small campsite with three private sites, which are all accessible by car, as well as one community area with a bathroom and some sheltered huts with benches and tables. A ranger usually collects the campsite fee in the morning during the high season, from about the middle of December to the end of February.

ES- viajamos dos personas en motorhome. Paramos ahi una noche. Super tranquilo y no tuvimos ningún costo. Sin luz (o no la vimos). Con agua.
En la noche vimos uno de los cielos mas estrellado de nuestras vidas!!

EN- travelled two people on a motorhome. Stayed there one night. We had no costs. Super quiet spot. Dont have light (at least we didn’t find it). Have water.
At night we saw one of the most beautiful skies full of stars of our lives!!

Open now. Pleasant little spot with a couple of car accessible shelters and a couple a short walk in. Nice forest location. Charming little walk 800m to lovely lookout with shelter over the lake (popular cyclists camp spot!) - take a picnic!

Beautiful campsite for tent camping. Clean and proper working sanitary with cold shower. When we stayed there, no ranger showed up to collect money.

Report Check-In

Officially closed until 15th December 23, like all campsites in Pumalín.

Report Check-In

Fine for one night, next to the road but after dark there are very few cars except when the ferry arrives. Toilets and cold shower.
From the camping you can do a short hike to the lake

Stopped here after the ferry from Hornopiren because we weren't sure how competitive the other campsites were. This one had one family in a tent in a walk-in site (of two). Two shelters in a gravel area and toilets, showers, and water. Okay for one night. Filled up by the evening.

Report Check-In

As of December, the campgrounds in Parque Pumalín are closed (not sure if it's still due to COVID or if they're just not yet open for the season). There's a rope across the entrance.

Report Check-In

Empty, was not charged the 16000p fee. Two nice big shelters suitable for setting up a tent, unlike the campsite in the north. Right by the quiet road, 800m trail to the lake

Beautiful campsite. As described... tables and chairs under shelters. One big enough for two tents to camp under which was great as it was raining. Very clean and nice. Arrived around 9pm and left around 10.30am and unfortunately there was no ranger around for us to pay.

Report Check-In

We tried all four Pumalín campsites in this sector during peak high season. For whatever reason this was almost empty and the rest were completely full. It doesn’t have the views of Lago Blanco or Volcan but facilities are just as decent, and the only other option is to trek over to Chaiten.

Pretty close to Tronador, Alerces, Michinmahuida and Cascadas trails, so a good choice for exploring this sector.

Everything is well maintained and the quinchos are great. Showers are really cold, but that’s a small price to stay in a genuine wilderness. A solar shower solves that problem.

Late in the day four or five groups of people came to pitch up wherever they could and left first thing, seemed like a cheapskate tactic to avoid paying. Don’t be a douche nozzle and cough up your pesos to help keep protecting this stunning landscape. If nobody comes you can always pay at one of the Guarda Parques.

Great campsite for tents. We were biking and cycled down to the lake and camped at the shelter. Breathtakingly beautiful.

We stayed free (because the rangers arived at 17pm and we missed them (we arived 20pm). Very clean bathroom (cold shower). Normal price is 5000pppn

Report Check-In

Very close to the road. Small parking and cold shower. The walk nearby is only 800m so it is very fast.
Good only to stop after a late ferry.
5000 pesos /pers.
The guard forest came between 9:00 and 10:00 during the high season. (Expensive for this spot) If you leave earlier, it's free.

A bit confusing maybe, this roadside campground. There are two shelters at the parking lot, that can be used by campers and big rigs. More shelters for tents in the forest behind, to the right of the "sendero". Another shelter can be found at the end of the trail leading to lago Negro.

Report Check-In

Very small lot for vehicle parking. Didn't stay. Maybe best for tent camping. All of the campgrounds in this area seem very orderly and well kept and the nature surrounding them is stunning. Shortly after this, is another campground by Lago Blanco which we passed but later heard was nice.

Report Check-In

Free as no one around to collect. Bathrooms locked and water in washing sinks off. Site extremely well maintained. Good shelters for tents with tables. No camp fires allowed here. Highly recommend the 800 meter hike to the lake in the evening. Beautiful and nice trail.

Report Check-In

Beautiful camp. Toilets, cold showers, sinks, covered areas for tent campers with tables and open parking for vehicles. Trail from camp leads along creek and ends at lago Negro. Free.

Report Check-In

Small campsite still in progress, therefore no infrastructure, quiet
