Beautiful scenic area high up in the Sierra, wild, awesome, super clean, several quiet and secluded camp spots along the road in what seems to be a national park of some sort. It costs 25 pesos to get in but we paid 50 pesos to stay overnight. I think the friendly local old guy at the gate is using this opportunity as a way to make a bit of extra cash, but trust me, it's well worth it. If you come on a weekend, don't get put down by the little village just before the sign, the young men lining up the street who look a bit drunk or stoned are a little intimidating, just keep on past the end of the village until you see the sign.

Amazing place, we spent two days in total peace. Beautiful sunset, Beautiful sunrise just amazing. Amazing desert landscape feeling. Nice places to walk just mind the giant fire ants nest. Highly recommended. Enjoy it and take care of it
Report Check-InOther accounts accurate as reported. Amazing sunrises and sunsets here. Nice open areas to let the dogs run. Can get a bit windy

As described. Beautiful. Scenic. Found a private area with an amazing view high up.
Hombre at front gate charged us $100 a night for two people. Feels Comfortable; safe
Super cool place with wonderful views. Pay the guys at the gate and drive up the mountain or stay by the lake. At the summit quite a few people drive past going to the ranches (we saw about 5 cars) and all give a friendly wave. Horses and cattle wander around so expect noises in the night.
