Description

hard to get closer to perfection than this. right on one of the most amazing point breaks around. All there is is a shack with chairs, tables and a few hammocks. no facilities except for a simple manual flush toilet behind a curtain. for $5 a night, if you have your own cooking and don't mind using the ocean as your facilities it is perfect. quite at night, cattle gate if it makes you feel more secure. The owner Valentino runs a little cantina on the entrance to the road, nice, friendly fella. The spot is grassy and relatively flat with a few trees, certainly not for big rigs.

It’s a little tough to figure out which of these beach camping shacks is which, but I think this is the one I stayed at. The camping is now $10 per night (firm price written on a surfboard) you can tent camp, or there’s room for campers etc. They also have a platform with hammocks on the beach where you could set up a camp spot

The location is breathtaking, and when it’s not surf season there is no one around. The owners were very sweet, and for an extra $10 made me home cooked dinner & breakfast, dinner was red snapper caught that day!

The only downside is that the couple that owns this loves their very loud stereo, and blasted music on it in the evening, and again at 5:30 for sunrise. That impacted the serene environment a bit. But besides that it’s perfection

The road here from Playa Cuco was being re-done, and was a bit rough in places during the construction. I came from El Espino on the way in on my motorcycle, and that road was an extremely rough 4x4 track that would be impassable in the rainy season for most vehicles, so beware if that’s not the adventure you’re looking for. The final little stretch down to this campground is very rocky and also a bit sandy, but it’s worth it!

Awesome spot!
$6 a night with my VW van.
A few upgrades have been done: masonry shack for toilet and shower ( bucket of water from the well, the shack has its own reservoir of water you pick from).
Few wooden tables and benches outside.
No electricity of course but Valentino has a solar panel and led lights at his shack.
Support this place!
Great little surf community, photographers, locals who enjoy the place during the day.
I was the only one camping there for 5 days. Very calm and secure, prime location on a sick surf spot!
Help the place, buy your beer there!
Valentino is resisting pressure to sell to greedy investors that would turn this place all private. Thumbs up for not selling out!
EDIT: I went back for another night after a few days doing mechanic in El Cuco. Always a pleasure 😀

As described, slice of paradise!
We paid 5usd/p/n. Didn't haggle as it's Covid times.. We were the only ones camping, quite a few surfers during the day, but no one around after sunset.
The road into the site was pretty bumpy and narrow, but doable with a normal car. Bigger sizes will struggle or need to do some gardening on the road.

Stayed on the family property for four nights and caught some beautiful waves. Was quoted $4pp/night but negotiable. We were the only ones there and they let us pull up to one of the family’s homes for some shade under the palapa. We slept with the back door open every night and it felt safe and comfortable. No electricity so when the family saw us using a small solar charger, they asked us repeatedly to charge their phones and to use some of our things everyday. Overall, we are happy to share but just a note in case people are looking for more privacy. Barrel of water from well is slightly green but we showered with it anyway. A fruit-veg truck came with an announcement on Sat but didn’t drive down so keep an ear open if needing provisions.

Amazing place! As described it is incredible. Pit toilet and shower using pots from well. Bring food and water there's nothing around.
Valentin tried asking us $6 /night but we said $5 and no problem at all, actually he's trying to increase the price but let's keep as it is otherwise it's gonna be expensive as Costa Rica....
Let's keep the place clean, the locals photographer were rubbishing here but we spoke with them about it and they are aware now they're lovely though :D

Nice place, tried to ask for 6 USD but we said no more than 5 they quickly changed their minds. Ended up leaving as nowhere to get hold of a board but good surf here.

This place is paradise!!! Tough to get in but we made it with our truck camper and I’m so glad we did! The toilets are bucket flush, not pit and the bathroom is clean. The family here is beyond kind and wonderful. We are paying $4 per person per night. Worth every penny. Possibly the best place we have stayed in 7 months of traveling. I feel very blessed to be here!

Stayed there for 5 days then moved to Rancho Mango...Valentín is away and someone else runs the place...lots of people drinking during the day so we moved

Beautiful place though

Stayed here for $5 for two people one van per night. We absolutely adore this place, owner is nice and his daughter is so gorgeous (please take her swimming she loves it!) they don't live on the property tho, just pass thru. I agree it's one of the best spots, so quiet no one around, beautiful beach, surf was only good 1 out of 4 days we were here. Pit toilet, and water from the well for showering etc

This place is amazing, best spot in El Salvador. We parked right in front of the best surfing point of the country!!under a tree for 1 week! The road is pretty bad, but we made it with a 7 meters long and 3 meter high Bus. Valentin, the owner, said that they are fixing the road soon. Take a lot of water and food with you because there’s nothing around. A truck sells fruit and vegetables on Friday’s and Monday’s.

Tremendo spot!

We spent over a week in this spot. One of the most beautiful wild campings we've slept on. The road from el Cuco takes around 50mins to the entrance (passed Rancho Mango, "Beach Acces" sign), then the road gets difficult. We made it with a truck camper and a bus, but took us like 30-40mins. But it's doable. Valentín, the guy who runs the place, told us they would work on the road so more people could make it to the beach. We paid 5$/night. No electricity, pit toilet with a nice view. Just in front of the Punta Mango wave. Amazing spot. Felt safe. Bring plenty of food and water.

Epic spot, one of the best spots on our trip. Park up under the tree next to a shack with tables and hammocks on private land on a point all to our selves. Good wave right in front. Road in follows a rocky river bed for the last part, we only just managed in our 2wd low Ford van

AMAZING! Hands down best beach camping in El Salvador. We were planning to camp at Mango Ranch but this is much better Park your rig on a grassy patch 10 feet from the beach. Also some shade under trees a bit further back. Nice sea breeze kept us sane from the heat. There's a palm franz casita with tables, chairs and hammocks for shelter from sun/rain. Lots of local surfers out on the break off shore - it was fun watching and meeting them. $2 bucks a night per person to camp. There's a manual flushing toilet - Basic but it works. No water source - we washed dishes in the ocean then rinsed with fresh water from our drum that we carried in. No electricity. But if you have everything t you need this place is indeed paradise!
