Nice views, but photographers beware. Many views are obstructed by fences. Over the top security in my opinion. I would not say it is so much better than a Miraflores. Maybe just a bit better. Crowd is much lower.

The old Gatun Locks can be driven across and then you can grab the free ferry back. Great way to see the Panama Canal from various viewpoints.
This visitors center has better views than Miraflores but no museum. The movie is a little different than at Miraflores. The restaurant has a $29 buffet that looked delicious if you’re hungry and want to spend that much. Because this is a brand new facility, I suspect prices and services will change over time. The paint on the benches isn’t even dry yet.

Worth every penny! Better that the Miraflores locks as you have a splendid view of the new locks. Free wifi

The old Gatun Locks are closed for Tourists. The new attraction are the Agua Clara Locks. 15 US$ per person!
