Emailed owner to check. Still closed to Overlanders. Operating rental villas as per website.

Yep, still a great spot. not much around as far as stores, so plan a couple of meals. Tuktuk to town is between 15c and 30c if you need to pick something up. Pool is wonderful and clean! Great views of the surrounding area. Quiet and cool at night. If you're sleeping in a tent, there seems to be plenty of level space. 300c/vehicle, laundry is 120c per load, no dryer. Dolores estadounidences also accepted.

Small piece of paradise. Nice views of the lake and of Masaya volcano (glowing at night !)
Pool, club house, wifi.
Stayed there for 2 nights (10$ / 300C per car per night)

Fabulous, quiet, beautiful views. Pool and very helpful hosts. Did our own laundry, water source and plug for electricity. The road to get there from town is a bit tough (bumpy, narrow, unpaved) but we made it with our 24 foot rv.

Great place to relax and rest. Beautiful view at night of the volcana. You can see the red glow of the lava. High standard showers, toilets, cabanas and pool.

All the reviews are still true, it's like a Paradies 👍🌞and the hosts are so welcoming and nice. Highly recommend 👍👍👍

This is the right place. And it's wonderful. Nel and Joop are great hosts. The property is already fantastic but with pool and clubhouse to open soon you will have a tough time pulling yourself away. The iOverlander marker Jenny added for the turnoff to the road to the property is a big help.

We r wondering if we landed in the same place!? Streets very narrow going to site. 3 miles of single lane roads in city. We were in large truck w camper. We finally stopped for directions in the last mile. we were to turn onto a littered dirt road. The people we asked directions from were missionary nurses. 3 Nicaraguan. Spoke English. They told us the lake was highly contaminated and to not go there. We did not.

We planned on staying one night, but ended up staying another since it was so relaxing, not too hot, and the Wi-Fi was superb. Nel is a wonderful host! She took so much care and time to answer all of our questions and make us feel welcome. She opened up one of the cabinas so we could shower and hang out. Club house is nearly done, and she suspects July (or possibly earlier) is likely for the opening of the pool, (the construction is finished - they're waiting on the pump delivery). The property is really lovely with great views, not to mention the cheapest laundry services since Mexico for us - $2. On the verge of opening up officially, there are still no signs for the infamous turn off, BUUUUT, there's a blue star added on iOverlander where the hairpin turn is, from there, follow along with Google maps until you enter through their kind of a deeper purpley-blue gate on the right. One of the only nice, legitimate campgrounds in the area. Very safe. Guarded. Enjoy your time with the friendly duo and their animals. Dogs welcome.

5* review!! If you need a timeout from the road, let this place be your home for a while. Had a wonderful stay here with gracious and welcoming hosts Nel and Joop. Came back for a second weekend, it was that good! English spoken, very private and shaded campsites with use of cabins for showers, washing up facilities, very fast wifi and lovely hammocks. Camp fires permitted. Stunning views of lake masaya, volcan masaya and cool breeze makes this a perfect location to stay and rest awhile. It's a big rig friendly place but ideally you need 4x4 to get up here. Once you arrive you may never leave, especially when the swimming pool is ready! Only 2 days from now it should be done!! Enjoy and tell Joop and Nel hi from us :) $10 per vehicle per night, $2 for laundry.

This place is awesome. Please make sure you read the directions on how to get here. Google will not tell you about the U turn you need to make. Once your here the people who own it are very welcoming and the view is spectacular. Great weather also.

Just a perfect place with lovely hosts! You probalbly will stay longer then you planned.

Price still $10 for the two of us. We parked in front of one of the cabanas with a great view of Lake Masaya. The pool is still under construction so we were given access to a cabana for showers and toilet. Decent WiFi. The common area/club house are going to be wonderful once completed. Overlander parking will be right next to it.

Cool breezes and a beautiful view over Lago Masaya. The place is run by a sweet and helpful Dutch couple who intend to turn this place into a paradise.
when we arrived we needed some mechanical help, and they arranged for a good mechanic to come over and fix our problem. Dog friendly, with a few friendly dogs present. There are clean toilets, hot showers, laundry fascility, wifi, electricity (220 and 110 volt) and water, and a (swimming) pool in the making.
Since the place is difficult to find, (through a narrow dirt road and a few very sharp turns, campers larger then 20ft/ 7meters could have difficulty) it is advisable to let Joop and Nel know about coming ahead of time. (info already provided by them in the comments)
A good place to stay for a couple of days

This place is really great, best campground we found since Pasaj Cap in Guatemala: Nel and Joop are really creating something special here close to Masatepe. We camped for 4 nights at their property with amazing views. It's located perfectly for exploring the Masaya environment, Pueblos Blancos, Lago Apoyo and even Granada isn't too far. The property is built and taken care of in cooperation with the surrounding community, and everybody working there was really nice and welcoming. On the property there are more than enough opportunities to camp in your vehicle or tent: shade, hot showers, toilets, electricity and fast WiFi all available. Dogs are ok (they have one themselves) and you can do laundry if you ask. Nights were cool and silent, just the sound of all the birds and other animals around. At the time of our stay, they were still finishing the 'clubhouse' with showers and a pool, but it already looked great (including nice hangout area's and a kitchen). It will be a nice place to relax with or without other travelers. Instead of using the clubhouse, we could use one of the empty cabins for showers, toilets and electricity.
All of this for 10$ per night for 2 persons and a camper. If you really want to treat yourself: take a cabin, they are amazing but more expensive ofcourse. Since their place is a bit hard to find, it's better to call (+50588844229) or email ([email protected]) ahead at least a day before your arrival so they can give you directions or pick you up in Masatepe (like they did for us). Because the road to the property is quite narrow with overhanging trees and bumpy, big rigs might have a hard time getting in and around the property. Truck campers and normal size vans will be fine. Nel and Joop are great, and would love to see more overlanders coming to their place.
