Nice end of road with Wide landscape and long beach. Large and calm. No swim (dangerous waves ) but good fishing (for a swim go the little caleta where fishermen let their boats)
Archeological sites nearby. Lots of birds and seals. Night only possible on the parking, the beach is really too smooth ans not flat to drive on, even with a good 4x4.
Take plenty of food and water (at the river), on the main road 10 km before. Nothing here at the village and no entel réception.
If the place of busy, drive up north (45min) to calera Vítor. It is even more beautiful and much more space to Sleep on the beach which is more accessible.

really wonderful place, heavy waves, one of the best places we found

Report Check-In

As stated before: beautiful place, no problem to reach, one of the cleanest spots we found in Chile (trash bins as "hint" seem to work 😆)

We loved that place! Such a nice surprise after driving hours in the desert. Beautiful view on the ocean, huge waves! We drove down to the beach with our 2WD van with no problem, but we didn't go to far. Could easily get stuck further without 4WD. 2 cars came for sunset, but we were all alone for the night with the sound of the waves.

Report Check-In

Nice place except some litter (even when there are two big garbage containers). Waves were a litle bit too loudy. Wind is tricky here - at the evening blowing from the ocean, during the night starts to blow from land. No mobile signal. Accessible for all kinds of vehicles.

Report Check-In

good spot for overnight stay. quiet only sound of the waves

Report Check-In

Amazeballs location. Easy path down to the hard packed area, or onto quite deep, loose sand on the top tier of the beach, above where the sea level reaches. Amazing views, awesome sunset, lots of wildlife. Some friendly fishermen. Large rubbish bins (hint hint) but there are recycle deposit bins on Ruta 5 at Cuya, where there are also a couple of small stores to buy a few basics.

beautiful beach spot. tons of birds, a couple dead seals. very rough areas here, no swimming, but there's nothing like listening to crashing waves all night. very dark and quiet, stars everywhere. plenty of room for any size rig. stay to the right at the fork at the little village to go down to the ocean parking. The guy in town offers food and showers. also, there are now 2 large trash cans and no trash on the ground.

Report Check-In

Wonderful place. Beautiful waves, thousands of birds, sea lions (possible to see by binocular). Few people during the day (middle of week) and nobody at night. We stayed here two nights.

Report Check-In

We took the wrong street and when we realized we were at the top of the hill without being able to return because our motor home is big! So we went to the end of the road to be able to return! Get aware of catching right road! Is nice place

Awesome spot, watched sealions chasing fish's.
All alone, quiet night.
Recommend this Place.

Nice place for the day and the night.
Magnifik waves!!

Report Check-In

Nice spot at the beach. Very quiet you‘ll only hear the sound of waves. Some fishermen who stayed long in the evening and arrived in the early morning.

Report Check-In

Perfect campspot near the sea! Just ask one of the fishermen or locals if you can camp here for the night. Warning: stay at te side of the hill, don’t go camping near the sea or you’ll risk drowning at night ;).

Report Check-In

In the meantime a lot rubbish like everywhere at Chileans beaches. But still a very nice place close to the sea to stay overnight.

what an amazing location. we wished we had more time to camp here for a few days. when we pulled into the town we missed the turn and asked one of the fishermen and he was so kind and pointed us in the right direction. as we pulled down to the beach a group of guys were hanging out on their front porch and gave big waves and smiles. super nice. make sure you go down the hill at the football field you will see all the camping just below the town. highly recommend. happy trails!

Very nice wildcamp. Easy acces for all type of vehicles. Loads of space near the ocean. Some turkey vultures and dead trees for making a fire, non-dead trees for your hammock and shade. Bring food and drinks. No one around.

Hello
Rhhhaaaaaa Lovely...
This is a realy nice place for sleep.
Some trash but not a lot of in comparison to the other place...!
The road is narrow on 10 kms but easy with a motorhome.
Don't worry the road wich go down from the village to the beach is good and the sand is hard.
Easy acces with ou truck of 9 tonnes and not in 4X4.
So lovely beach with seal.
The waves was too powerfull to make surf,SUP or bodyboard, and a man who live here tell me that it's a dangerous place for nautic activity
The fishermen was realy nice with us and teach us how to fish
You can see mummys, bones and skull if you follow the road on the cliff but not with a motorhome, you can make a Uturn at the end only with a car.
We stay 3 days here and we'll never forget this place.
Enjoy..

Great spot, a few other groups camping on the weekend and during week, but very quiet and peaceful. Chatted with local fishermen, and they were very friendly. Some garbage, but not terrible by any means. I’m not sure what the chicken farm comment refers to, but it was a beautiful drive in. Highly recommended beach camp.

we stayed here several days. at the weekend and end of carneval holidays some visitors from arica. otherwise alone ...when it is not windy there are some biting insects. internet reception (movistar) walking towards the river or village. there is a restaurant el pato in the village. tell them in advance when you want to eat (eg 5000 chil. pesos for fish). beach clean, watertemp. 16 degrees

Report Check-In

Not the best option to camp. Lots of chicken farms in the valley. The fisher village looks not very nice. We decided not stay here.
