A wonderful camping site. Only a few sites, each with private ablutions and shaded kitchen area. The owner is extremely knowledge about nature and loves to teach people about the desert. You can buy meat etc here. Highly recommended.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We stayed in the far right campsite [upon entering the lodge].
I had fairly good cell phone signal, when I put my phone next to the battery [located is on the kitchen wall, which is linked with the solar panel].

Simply an unforgettable experience, we want to come again, and stay for at least 3 days.

Very friendly owners, Boesman and Yuri.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Wonderful camp and chalet with beautiful views into the desert. Private bathroom and covered kitchen for each site. Great drinking water and hot showers. Bushman and Yuri are great hosts and filled with lots of information on the area. We stayed 2 nights and will be back!

Price still 180ppn. Liked it a lot! Would have stayed at least 2 nights chilling in our hammocks if we had the time as it was a very comfy place. There's a swimming pool but it was empty when we visited. Lots of shade under the roof shelter and they made an effort to have green trees around the campsite. Hike to the plateau located close to the sand pyramidal hill and you'll not regret the amazing views!

Great campsite in a stunning location. Feels very remote, as you’re camping on one of 3 spots in a small canyon. We paid NAM 150 pP for camping and did a Desert Tour for a total of NAM 2,100 for 5 people. We had a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Perfect stop before visiting Sossusvlei, as he explains a lot about this area, the dunes etc. We saw Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra and the resident tortoises.

Report Check-In

We arrived here at night with no reservation and there was still campsites available. Very nice owner, he is so knowledgeable and also do tours in the desert. He gave us so may recommendations!
On our way there we saw some mountain zebras but there are many coming at this place since there is a water hole near the reception.
Big campsites, with 2 private toilets and kitchen/sink area. Shared ablutions with showers and toilet close to the reception - very clean. Solar hot
water, no electricity at the campsite.

Report Check-In

Wow! Great campsite in a canyon, as you drive towards it you wonder where it is and then you drove down into the canyon, it’s hidden away. Each spot is spacious with two toilets each. A nice little pool, loads of tortoises around and lots of Zebra at night. Well worth the stop!

We wanted to make a reservation upfront to be sure we could get hold of campsite nr 3 since the zebras pass by very close at night this site. However finding a valid telephone number on the net proved to be difficult. Therefore here is their contact info in case you want to do the same: trlnrs +264-812943755 or +264-813374611 email [email protected]
