Description

Aww this place is great! Across from the beach, huge kitchen, great wifi, TV at bar, cheap beer, strong showers, washing machine, a couple of nice dogs and cats, and a wonderful barman/caretaker Dario! $5/pp/pn. No shop here, so bring everything you think you'll need. Also we were there in rainy season and there were lots of insects.

Latest Check-Ins

No free place anymore around here. All the palapas on the beach are private.
We stayed at the one from Johnny Fiestas and it's pretty nice. 10$ for night (2 people with RV) and you can use toilet, shower, WiFi, chill area, shared kitchen. which is fair I think. Could fit 1 small RV (our 20feet was ok) or 2 small van/cars, you are directly on the beach.
Owners are really nice, it's an hostel with a bar (good prices). Nothing to buy food or withdraw money here so be sure to have everything.

Report Check-In

The place looked abandoned/closed, so we went looking for an other opportunity to stay with our motorhome.

Report Check-In

When you come in October you have the place and the beach almost for yourself! No parties, quiet nights, Matt is a friendly, helpful and funny guy. We highly recommend!

Report Check-In

Nice place not far away to the beach. Might be very loud on weekend with parties at the beach. The owner warned us when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon so we choosed another place and returned a few days later.

Report Check-In

Came down here on a Saturday afternoon and met Matt who said we were welcome to stay but we wouldn't get any sleep due to the line of cars on the coast who'd be pumping reggaeton until 6am. We appreciated his honesty and moved on.

Report Check-In

Visited here but the yard for park and camp is quite small. With another car and a tent already camping here it’s quite crowded for another car. So did not stay here.

As it was raining super bad, we asked if we could stay in the private room with our dog.

Dogs not allowed in room, they are allowed outside on property though.

Report Check-In

$1 beers. fast WiFi! paid $5 per person to camp in the front and park our bikes. friendly owners. right on the beach. don't expect a quiet night here though loud music played until early morning, asked numerous times to turn it down, did but kept turning back up, eventually went off at 3am. don't bother with restaurant next door, expensive and crap. we asked about room, a private was $35 with shared bathroom

Wonderful place also for big rigs, we had a wonderful time there. You can use the bodyboards for free! The only problem: you are far away of any store. So buy your food in the supermarket at the cross from the panamericana to las lajas or ask dario when he go to the supermarket. We paid 5$ p.p.

Report Check-In

Great place inside the beach. The owners Dario and Matt are very friendly. Dario speak French ! And a lot of languages!
We stay 2 nights, it was very quiet and zen

Report Check-In

Perfect place direct at the beach! Matt also knows the english-speaking Mecanic in Boquette and can organize an appointment for you. Surfing is also possible and you get Boards here. The Waves (for me) are big, but for beginners the whitewater has good Power to practice easily. Recommended!

Report Check-In

Super chilled small hostel with proper camping spots in front. Hook ups if needed.

Other reviews are spot on. Could have stayed here for weeks just chillaxing.

Report Check-In

we spent around 10 days at this lovely place. enjoyed the silence, the beers at the bar and the relaxed, easy going vibes. got some food supplies in the next village (around 10min drive). we prepared the van for the shipping to Colombia, a carpenter in town (the hosts will get you his contacts) built in a wooden wall to separate the cockpit from the rest of the Vanagon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Report Check-In

This place is nice and safe! There is only a gravel road to cross to the beach. Dario took care of us and were a nice host. Toilet is clean and shower is nice and rustic. We payed 10$ for one night.

Report Check-In

Very good vibes here. The owners Dario and Matt are very kind people. One shower, one baño, a kitchen, a washing machine. Possibility to a have a dinner for 5$ pp if the owners make something spécial. We were in low season so no snack. You can also take surf lessons with Hugh for 10$ per hour and rent a board for 10$ per day. We spent one week here for 5$ pp each day and 2,5$ for our daughter.

Amazing beach across the road; 20km long! Not developed at all and beach is clean except after weekend near the palapas. Paid $5 pp with power. There are dorms as well. Matt, the owner, is nice. $1 beer - you can run a tab during your stay. Matt does barbeque hot dogs & hamburgers for cheap. Bano has seat and TP. Outdoor shower has a shower head and walls. Wifi very good at bar; we parked near road and it was not consistent at site. No shops nearby but fruit and veg truck comes Thursdays. There are 2 places nearby to eat. NOTE: There are no trees in Camping area = no shade but there are a couple of chilling areas with tables and hammocks. There are boards to rent for good prices, reduced even more if you stay here. Hugh will also give lessons.
