We stayed at the parking lot with our camper van. Simon was very welcoming and kind. The common area and kitchen are nice and there was hot water and tea available throughout the day. However the bathroom (for the ladies) was not very clean. Full bins, dirty underwear hanging around and a bit humid and mouldy. Showers were hot though and did the job. Breakfast was fine but would have been happy to pay less and not have the breakfast.

Report Check-In

One of our favorite spots in South America! Stayed 5 nights waiting for a water pump that was delivered to Yellow Plum. Nicole and Carlos are amazing hosts that are a wealth of knowledge about the park and surrounding area. We had our campervan and was fortunate to fit in the driveway that was locked at night. The showers were always hot and the breakfasts were a nice touch. We are a family of 4 and the fire at night was my kids highlight. Nicole and Carlos would let my kids help start and keep the fire going. It was also nice to meet people from around the globe and get some good intel about the park and other places that they travelled to. We paid 14,000 CLP pp which a lot of people may find expensive but I believe it’s a deal for everything you get as well as the way you are treated. I will be sure to recommend this place to anyone that is traveling to TdP.

Report Check-In

Absolutely the best private campground experience we’ve had on our South American overland trip and the hosts, Carlos and Nicole are what make it that way. They have anticipated your every need and they keep the campground and everything in it working perfectly and sparkling clean. They have an in-depth knowledge of the area, including Torres Del Paine National Park where Carlos is a guide, and they are anxious to help by sharing their information. VERY well located, you can walk to everything. Yellow Plum is our go-to place in Puerto Natales!

Report Check-In

Really nice campground!!
We there for 5 days and came back for another night the next time we passed Puerto Natales, because it was so nice.
They are really welcoming and helpful with recommendations and tips.
The facilities are great and always clean. I’d really recommend staying there.

Report Check-In

Very nice campground, which is very close to the city centre and facilities. The hosts Nikole and Carlos are super nice and helpful. There is just place for 1 or 2 campervans, so it is wise to drop them an email before your arrival.

Report Check-In

We were here when it was cold and windy, and there's nowhere to get inside. The kitchen/sitting area is outside, under a roof for the rain. Just be aware of that when it's cold :-)

Report Check-In

Super clean spot tucked into the backyard. Was able to park our little vans (2) in the driveway and locked the gate overnight. Owners are very helpful and share helpful advice. Wi-Fi is real good too!

Report Check-In

The nicest campsite we had during two months of traveling. Nicole and Carlos are very sweet and helpful. They always make time for your questions, they can rent you a tent, matras, sleeping bag, walking poles etc. for the w-/o-trek. They have 12 spaces for tents and on the drive way next to the house you can park one ore two cars/minivans. We slept here with our Toyota landcruiser with rooftop tent, then the driveway was full. The camping is very clean and stuff looks really new. De kitchen area is under a roof. They have three big tables where you can chill and hangout. Nicole made a little corner with hot water, cucumber ore lime water for free. Every morning you get a delicious breakfast with homemade cookies (and sometimes as well homemade cake), fruits, cereal bar, bread. Showers are most of the time hot and also very clean. You can chill as well in the hammock under the plum trees or on the beanbags and there’s also a fireplace. They light up the fire every evening.
Carlos has a lot information about the area (he’s a guide in Torres del Paine as well). Would definitely recommend this place. After the w-trek we came back again because we liked it so much.
Had to pay 14.000 per person per night. With our on stuff, if you rent a tent and stuff it’s more expensive.

Report Check-In

This is a beautiful camp site, pet friendly with a parking space for two vehicles. We spend the night in our kombi with our dog. Common space with kitchen. Very clean bathrooms with hot showers. The owners are really nice and helpful. Speak English. The price includes breakfast. Highly recommend if you are travelling with pets.

Report Check-In

Great camping! So worth the money, facilities are great and the place is really nice! Best camping we had so far in Chile. We are in a campervan and parked it next to the house. WiFi also very good, Definitly recommend this place!

Report Check-In

Great tent camping spot if you want to spend a night in Puerto Natales. It’s close to a supermarket and downtown so you can walk everywhere. The tents are close together but the atmosphere is great and the hosts are very helpful.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for two nights, one before going to the park and one after. For campers there is space for one or maybe two campervans in the driveway (not ideal but ok). Very nice facilities for cooking and a nice sitting area. Wifi was fast and picked up from the car. Toilets and showers very clean, women's stalls are not very roomy and your feet almost touch the door, but other then that it's great. Showers were always hot and with nice pressure. Breakfast was decent but not amazing in my opinion, see picture and judge for yourself. Owners speaks English, very friendly and have lots of tips for hiking in the park and around the city (you can also rent equipment there). Campfire at night was very nice. Price is 10,000 clp pp until 31/12 and after that it's 13,000 clp. A bit expensive in my opinion, but I still recommend it in general.

Report Check-In

Great place to prepare for the time in Torres del paine!

Big sheltered space to organize your backpacks. Close to the shops with everything you need.

Super friendly/helpfull couple own this little fully equipped camping.

Small space for 2 cars/vans on the driveway.

Report Check-In

Ok. Let us tell a honest story about the owners Carlos and Nicole.

If you want to know how wonderful this place is, how spotless clean the bathrooms are, with 24hrs heating, hot showers etc. The common place where you can cook your meal. The free of charge water with lemon, ice tea or hot water and don’t forget the breakfast (included in the price)(served between 06:00-10:00). Or you want to know how central this camping is downtown, or the quality of the North Face items they rent out. Or about the bonfire they make every night.

Then please, just read all the reviews below.

This story is about how the owners show their kindness and hospitality.

We are travelling with 2 adults and 3 children. We could park our Landrover on their parking spot. They have place for 2 vehicles. But if your vehicle is to large, or the parking is already full, just park on the street and use their facilities.

Anyway, we have been travelling quit fast with our kids when we arrived at Yellow Plum.

We decided to stay for 1 week to get some rest.

After a week we said goodbye and spend some nights at Torres del Paine.
Carlos gave us some good advice!

The last day in Torres we were driving towards the South exit of the park when our car broke down. We really were in trouble.

We had no clue what to do. We decided to call Carlos and ask for help. As it was starting to get dark we decided to camp just outside the park at Rio Serrano. The next morning (Sunday) Carlos was there to help. It’s 1,5 hour drive from Puerto Natales to TdP. But he was there at 09:00 am.
Together with Carlos we managed to get our car back to Yellow Plum where there were already tents waiting for us. So the next morning Carlos helped us to get in touch with the right mechanic. He helped us getting our car there and helped with translations.
We needed to wait for another 10 days before our car was repaired (waiting for parts to arrive). All these days Carlos stayed in contact with the mechanic. Drove us there several times and even invited us to join for diner Nicole had prepared. We took lots of time from them and eventhough Carlos needed to go to his other job, he made time for us!

When our car finally was ready we left going up North, but this made us the longest staying guests all time!

So, if you want this hotel/hospitality feeling, go to Yellow Plum!

Ps: please don’t start about being ‘expensive’. Service costs money. Travelling costs money. You are in a tourist area and on a remote part of the world. They really don’t ask that much for the service you get. Pay the money and enjoy your stay or stop travelling. And please. Don’t try to negotiate. You are in the wrong place to do so.

Report Check-In

We stayed there with our land cruiser for one night. As it is mainly a tent place, we shared the entrance with a land rover. Clean facilities, very nice people working there.

Excelente custo-beneficio.
Nossa barraca é de teto e ficou no corredor.

We stayed here with our pick up and roof rent on 3 different occasions between travelling the O circuit and various other treks in Torres Del Paine. The owners are super friendly and have excellent advice regarding Torres Del Paine! The facilities are brilliant, always clean and tidy, hot showers, good WiFi and the breakfast is spot on. Highly recommended!

Price is now 13000 pp for camping with your own tent. Great breakfast, bathroom, location and customer service, but no inside cooking area. Campground is sheltered but not covered. Only an outdoor kitchen with a roof which would be great if it wasn't windy and cold (It almost always is in Natales)

Lugar muito confortável e limpo, recomendo muito. 10.000 por pessoa.

Wonderful camping spot in the middle of Puerto Natales! We arrived by car and were offered a tend to use for the night, including very comfy mattresses. Nice and warm fire pit in the evening, super bathrooms (heated!), hot showers, and a great breakfast in the morning (which came with motivational quotes on coffee cups) - BTW one of the best coffees I had in Chile so far! For 10'000 clp pp/pn (low season rate) we think it's a great place. Since it was our last day we didn't ask many information on what to do but we got some tips for the next time we come to Chile :)

Small campsite with very friendly staff. Small campsite with familiar atmosphere. Carlos have good knowledge area and can give advices for your stay in Torres del Paine.

As many folks already mentioned before: Yellow Plum is a marvellous place to stay, to prepare your trip to Torres del Paine and to come back after exhausting days of hiking (and take a re-vitalising hot shower). The place itself provides all you need to enjoy urban camping. And Carlos knows so much about this whole area. Always friendly and helpful he shares his knowledge about Torres del Paine and other great places around.
Seriously,a splendid place to stay.
Greetings to Mono!

All other camping spots should take a lesson from Yellow Plum Tree. Carlos has literally thought of everything to make sure you have a comfortable stay when you're on the road.

Yellow Plum Tree has only been open for two months and they have a winning formula. The location is smack bang in the middle of town which is so convenient.

If you're like us and travelling in a campervan, there are two spots to park your van. CLP$13,000pp is absolutely well worth it. The camping area is good and spacious too.

Facilities:
- The heated bathrooms are perfect for chilly mornings and nights.
- Piping hot showers with really good pressure (I didn't want to get out) and it's better than most hotel showers I've experienced
- Undercover communal seated area with gas stove tops, sinks, dishwashing liquid and cloths.
- Nightly fire to gather around and chat with new friends
- Wifi is good
- Tasty breakfast is included in the morning

Carlos is a wealth of information on Chile and will give you plenty of detailed tips on your onward journey. And his girlfriend makes the most amazing cookies - seriously delicious. I wanted to stay longer just to have more cookies!!

I honestly wish we could have stayed longer. Our stay was so nice. Carlos and his girlfriend Nikole have put their heart into this and it shows. High, highly recommend.

Stay with small van on the side of the campsite. Good recommendation!! Really friendly helpful and relaxed. Hot/new showers, shared open kitchen and good wifi. Space for 1-2 small vans and about 12 tents. 13.000 pesos pp/pn. Breakfast incl.

Great experience here. A new place, and the owner, Carlos, is incredibly helpful and kind. Bathrooms and showers were fabulous: clean, heated and well equipped. The outdoor kitchen(s) are also very well equipped. A campfire is provided each night. Nice public space with tables. Good wifi!

Carlos is very helpful when it comes to planning your time in the area. He has been a professional guide for many years. Great knowledge of the park.

We parked our Landcruiser with rooftop tent in the driveway. It was a little tight, but it worked. Might be difficult for larger vehicles.

While outdoor space was lovely, could be cold if there are lower temperatures and wind.

Highly recommend this place AND Carlos!!!

Report Check-In

We stayed here one night in our campervan in the gated driveway. This place is more geared towards tent campers (they have at least 15 spaces) but they were very accommodating of us. It is brand new and it shows. The bathrooms were easily the cleanest/newest campground bathrooms we have seen (and better than a lot of hotels we have been in!) Plenty of hot, hot water and great pressure. The outdoor kitchen with two sets of gas stoves and two sets of double sinks. There are plenty of tables to sit out and it is all covered from the rain. There is a fire pit where there is a fire every night. Carlos is a great guy and we really enjoyed chatting with him. He also provides trip planning and he is a former guide, so he has lots of great information. Wifi was easily the fastest we had seen in all of South America. Breakfast is included and was toast with jam, coffee/tea, orange juice, yogurt, breakfast bar, roll and an orange. Overall we really loved this place. The only negative we could come up with is that it is a little expensive, $13,000 CLP/person. That being said, for what you get, it is worth it. Carlos is running a great operation and will go out of his way to take care of you. We wish him luck, stop by and stay with him if you are in the area!

Report Check-In

Great firepit and trees to shelter ground tents from the wind. Only place for 2 cars with rooftents or wicked campers.
Facilities brand new, and delicious breakfast. $13.000 per person rate is fair for what you are getting.
