Recently reopened with new managers, James, and son, Chris.

Beautiful, spacious, private sites. EHU and water for each site. Your own private ablution facilities.

We stayed for two nights but had such great game drives that we could have stayed longer.

We will definitely return.

Moretele River Lodge, which takes its name from the Moretele River, a tributary of the Crocodile River, is situated in Dinokeng Game Reserve, A 21 000-hectare malaria-free Big 5 Game reserve just north of Pretoria, catering for the "Adventurous" campers that require a connection with Nature.

We offer 2 Types of Camping accommodation, The 'Exclusive campsites' which offers more of a luxurious style, and the '4x4 wild campsites' for the campers that wish to be completely self-sufficient.

The Exclusive Campsites:

We offer FOUR of these sites, each includes:

Own Power point
Spotlight
Water point
Barbeque Stand and fire place (No fires to be made on the ground)
Ash bucket (For your convenience)
Your own Private ablution (Located in the main building)
Access to swimming pool at reception
NO FENCING!!!!

Included is a Complimentary pile of wood, as well as a bag of ice on arrival.

4x4 Off-Grid Campsites:

We offer TWO of these sites, however only one is the suitable size for overlanding, each includes:

• A quaint clearing in the riverside wilderness
• Single water point (Borehole water)
• NO ablution facilities (or access to)
• NO electricity or lighting
• Access to swimming pool at reception
• You must be fully self-sufficient!!!!
• NO FENCING!!!!!

General Details:

3 of the 4 exclusive sites are fit for overlanding, with it's own entrance road.

The cellphone signal in the area is fantastic as we have a signal tower nearby.

The ablutions are run on a gas system for hot water, providing instant hot water.
