totally quiet and no one else here but me. there's a huge heat wave throughout the Southwest right now so it's a great break from the heat to be up here tonight this July

Nice quiet spot. There's a dirt road through the woods for about .5 mi with several turnouts, some with great views. There are established fire rings, but also wind. Level spots get scarce further down the road. Saw no one.

Beautiful spot. Some sites had fire rings which we did not use on account of the wind. We got mildly snowed on and it was very windy which is expected in mid March for this area in the mountains. Hiked Bear Mountain Trail since it was so close to our site. There were probably 4-5 spots to put a rig. No one else was there the three days we were there. We could hear some noise from the road but nothing too distracting from the beautiful views.

Report Check-In

Checked out this spot during a rainy Spring with more rain forecast. The road is graded fine dirt, and we were concerned that it could become slick with additional precipitation. Driving 4x4 3500 but decided to move on.

Report Check-In

I found a nice, flat pull out, just far enough off the dirt road to feel pretty secluded. This area, probably the first pull out, is mostly all flat, so aside from the elevation, at 6630 ft, hiking and exploring was relatively easy. I didn’t find any big game trails to wander, but as long as you keep track of where the road is, you shouldn’t have trouble finding your way back. Some tall pines and a lot of scrub trees, with cacti and other interesting vegetation. Decent Verizon signal, just flies and a nearby fire ant hill, to contend with, so I stayed a few days and slept in complete silence with no other campers around.

Nice place very quite. Pity that the first camping spot is full with broken bottles.
Why can't people take their rubbish home with them. If your rig is over 2mt 50 high don't bother.
