Description

Beautiful quiet spot by a lake. No amenities. Camping is allowed. Turn onto East Roddy Rd off of 27 US Hwy and follow the road to the end at the lake. About 1/4 miles of gravel road down, a few small ruts, but no issues in our Class B. Some weak cell signal.

Very pretty view but water is green. A van pulled in at 10pm but I enjoyed this spot

Amazing Lake. So peaceful. Decent cell service on AT&T

Perfect place for an overnight or few days stay. Gorgeous lake, flat concrete area big enough for multiple rigs. We fit our 31 ft TT with plenty of space for a few other RVs and boaters to join. Great spot for paddle boarding, a hiking trail off the road, and very close off the highway. 10-12 mins from Walmart and other shopping. Felt safe and was very quiet at night. The road in becomes gravel about .3 miles up, and is a steep downhill on the gravel. However, it is very packed in and easy to drive. Our truck hauling the TT did fine up and down (even after it rained). Great location, highly recommend. Verizon had 1-2 bars, but spotty at times. Was still able to get work done with the hotspot during non peak hours of the weekdays.

Got here super late on a Thursday, no one else here, around 2am someone drove in, in a red pick up, older model, stayed for a few minutes then sped on out. Besides that it was nice. Someone came to go boating early in the morning, super quiet. Pretty sure I saw a coyote on the way over, so keep an eye on the fur babies, also while walking the pups around we heard something rustling around amongst the trees, pup started whining and pulling me over so we dipped lol… I’m sure it was nothing 🥹

14 day max.
1-2 bars on Verizon.
No amenities.
Some shade closer to the boat ramp.
Easy access, road a little washboard on the way in, but nothing y’all can’t handle.

Quiet night, only rig here, lovely sunrise, no fishermen as of 7am. A few boaters and a distant train, neither very loud. Fireflies last night, bird flying around this morning, a few fish splashing in the lake. Lovely place.

Small parking lot down a gravel road right next to a lake and a boat ramp. A few early-morning boaters showed up early in the morning but they were mostly quiet. Good for a night or two.

Great overnight spot. Easy to get to and you could squeeze a few rigs in. Fire pit and open view to the lake. People do come at night and in morning to fish.

Pros: free! Level, easily accessible
Cons: none just be careful and take it easy.

Great for a overnighting. We had the place to ourself until midnight when another RV came in to join us. At 5 AM 2 fishermen put their boats in but the pretty quiet so no issue. It is public land so no issue staying over night
