Description

Amazing warm water waterfalls!! We were so happy to find this place, as we hiked along the river every view was simply incredible. If you get in the water, beware the strong currents.

We had such a fun time visiting here!

At first we thought the price was a bit steep, but after visiting we though it was well worth it!
It’s now $100 peso entry fee per person, $50 peso life jacket rental per person (mandatory) and $100 pesos to park our van (there are multiple lots all with the same pricing). $30 pesos for a locker down by the cenote (optional).

A short walk from the parking lots alongside train tracks takes you to the entrance. Then there’s over 300 steps down. The whole area is beautiful! And there are quite a few main attractions here:
- A beautiful blue cenote fed by multiple waterfalls and cliff jumping is allowed! There is a really strong current in here. There are ropes strung up to help get you through the current.
- a few swimming spots at the top of the waterfall. Life guard is present and ropes strung up to show acceptable swim spots. The water is really clear!
- lots of lookout spots

We are both strong swimmers and we were still thankful to have the life jacket. 👍

There are also a few caves in the cenote too, but you need a guide to visit those. We aren’t sure how much that was.

Take lots of water. The 300 step climb back up is quite tiring after wrestling the current in the cenote 👍

Prics has gone up again to 70pp and 40 for renting the mandatory vests. We were allowed to enter with a small dog, he loved it. There was another dog which belongs to the site that is friendly.

Just mentioning that the price is now 50 pesos per adult

Very nice place. Same prices. Bring food and water with you plus confortable shoes. Recommended.

Great spot to enjoy a day among waterfalls and nature ! Don’t miss to enter the cave in Puente de dios. No vendors inside so make sure you take enough water and food as you’ll be far from your car. Plus good water shoes. Entrance is 40 p/ adult, 25 / kid 4 to 10. Lifevest mandatory for puente de dios. Renting available inside and outside (we paid 20p each). We didn’t find any « warm water » as mentioned in the first comment ; it was rather refreshing ;-).

Probably one of the highlights of the Huasteca.
Unfortunately this is becoming quite touristic so lots of people inside the park when we were there.
If you want to get into the water you need to rent a life jacket, you have to do it before entering.
The Nacimiento and Playitas areas are quieter though not much to see - if you don't have much time go directly to the Puente De Dios area (signs will take you there).
Lots of stairs and very hot and humid, so take comfortable shoes and plenty of water!
If you take valuables it is quite difficult to leave them in sight while you swim, so you might want to take turns to get into the water (you can rent only 1 life jacket) or not bring anything at all. Though we recommend at least 1 camera to take pictures: this is a beautiful natural place!
