Something not right?

Description

Just stayed parked on the street for the night. It quiets down over night. Did not get bothered and the town is SO lovely!

Latest Check-Ins

I first time I got here around noon, the access to this street was closed off. I found another spot close to Centro to park (20.6436300, -103.3102433). parked here for 5-6 hours. No problems were observed.
in the evening came back here and found the spot. I thought I will stay here. after dinner around 630 pm when I came back, I found this area so busy and loud that I did not feel good about parking here with my car RTT. So I drove off and parked by the police station by Unidad Deportiva Alvarez Del Castillo spot.
Unless you have a van and that too on non-Sunday. you may want to park here. Busy street all tourist buses drop off and pick passengers here too.

Parked around the area for a few nights. Felt safe to sleep here and leave my van for the day to explore Guadalajara.

Stayed near this pin, but adding comments here as there are multiple streets for parking in this area. If arriving in afternoon, it may take a couple laps to find a spot. Cleared out early evening, and a very quiet/safe overnight.

After exploring beautiful Tlaquepaque, we found parking on this street (about a block closer to Jardín Hidalgo) and spent a very peaceful night in our van! Spoke to the police before parking here and they advised to get as close as you can to the centre, since they patrol all night. On a Tuesday, it was quiet by 10pm and no traffic disturbed us in the morning— definitely recommend!

Make sure you check out Tlaquepulque a few blocks away, which serves traditional Jalisco- and Tlaxcala-style pulque (lightly alcoholic beverage made from fermented agave) & curado in dozens of flavours (pulque blended with fruit)! Some of the best pulque we’ve had in Mexico thus far!

Can't really recommend this, but might be because it was Saturday night. We stayed for a night because we were Christmas shopping in Tlaquepaque and it got too late to drive out of the city. When we went to bed at 1 am it was still super busy and the streets lined with cars, which I would consider good. but after 2 it empties out and there was only us and another car left parking. We woke up quite often during the night with people around our car. Someone also bumped into it our tried to open the drivers door, can't really say of it was a deliberate attempt or drunkenness. The police patrolled regularly and arrested someone just in front of us (I assume because the person was drunk). We watched the whole thing from inside starting at 5am, so got about 4 hours of unregular sleep... I think the most worrying part of staying here overnight is that you are the only car on the street and therefore very visible, kind of calling for trouble.

This whole area with the streets neerby all felt really safe to car camp to me. I stayed at this spot for two nights and two nights at another spot just up the road. Busy during the day but it quiets down around 12 or so. I think Sprinters would have a hard time parking on the narrow streets.

CUTEEEE area!
