Latest Check-Ins

Beautiful place with 3 Cabanas for to rent and dinner.
Very friendly and polite people.
They consider themselves not as a camping site, but offered me to stay in my tent for 10 USD + 5 USD if you want to use the kitchen.
There are clean toilets but only a out door shower with no privacy.
I would guess that there are 5 spots for a rig, even a big one. But the road from Leon / CA-3 is so bad that you'll need 35 minutes to get there.
But still worth, since it is much less crowded than the other beach town Las Penitas more north.
I stayed there 6 nights.

Still 10$ pp. We tried to negotiate but in the end we realized we would pay 7.50 instead and would not have access to the pool and a shower. Very strange and not overland friendly.

Report Check-In

They asked for $10 pp. Crazy. We left as well.

Report Check-In

They asked 10pp for 24hours now. We left.

It's a 12km dirt road to this remote surf camp/lodge but well worth it. Right on the beach, pool, bar, restaurant, fast wifi, new manager Elizabeth speaks great English and is super helpful. We did laundry, used the pool, chilled out. Mostly young surfers were staying in the simple cabanas but we set up out front. $5pp per night to camp.

Soma Surf Hostel is great. Diego runs the place and is a awesome host. We spent Xmas here with 2 other overlanding families and had a great time. Restaurant, bathrooms, pool, WiFi.. Long dirt road getting in but worth it. No rig restrictions.
