Don Alejandro greeted us like his family in his house.
Lovely garden with trees, dogs and horses, only for motor home and campers van, clean toilets and showers, large kitchen for the "ioverlanders" fully equipped.
Alejandro take great care of his guests, reason why only four vehicles are staying at the same time "y basta".
We had such a good time with the family and our new friends like Nawal y Olivier, Miriame y Martin, Walter y Gerda, Oskar...
Don Alejandro provided us precious help with our car and without him our trip wouldn't be the same!
Don't forget to call before visiting Mateo's house, it's limited and that's why it's so good.
Now we have a new friend, Alejandro, muchisima gracias por todo!

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night in our campervan and as others have said, this place is great. We just wanted a place to stay and relax after 35 days on the road before dropping our rental van off the next day in Santiago. This place was perfect. We relaxed in hammocks, played with the dogs and watched little Mateo run around. The only issue we had was with the wifi, it was only working for a short period of time. By the time we sat down to use it in the evening, it was down. Alejandro apologized and said the other couple there must have downloaded a bunch of stuff and used it all up. Not a big deal, just a minor issue. Overall we would absolutely stay here again.

Where do we start? If you want to stay in the nicest man's garden with 4 sweet dogs, 2 horses, hot clean showers, the most beautiful kitchen, the nicest family and the cutest 2-year old ever then stay here. He let us do laundry, feed the horses, and helped us with anything we needed. Definitely felt like home.

Report Check-In

difficult to find, the door was closed, nobody was there.

Report Check-In

This place really felt like home for us! Alejandro is a very warm, caring and generous host and the little Mateo also made sure that we had everything we need :)
We had a wonderful dinner on New Years Eve with Alejandro's family and spent there 5 incredible days!
It was one of the best stays we had in South America so far!

Report Check-In

This is the best "campground" in South America. Don't expect a normal campground, this more like staying with friends or family! You can camp in the beautifull garden and Alejandro is the kindest person ever. He really takes care of you, is a very social guy and is VERY helpfull. Good WiFi, washingmachine, kitchen & bathroom & shower very clean. DON'T MISS THIS PLACE!!!
Make a call before you go, to check if he is at home.
If you can't find the adress: on Calle de la Escuela, almost at the end of the street on the right, there is a sign which says "Percela 25". Here you turn right (it's a sandy-stone road), it's the first house on the right.

Very nice place indeed! Actually this is not an official camping but much more as it is Alejandro's garden which is suitable for several tents, vans or else. Excellent internet connection (even in the van), clean bathroom with hot water. If you drive around don't hesitate, one of the most friendly place. Safer to call to ensure Alejandro is not away when you arrive (+56 9 7878 2591).

Occasionally listed as closed but it's not. It might appear to be closed as it is not an official camping. Contact Alejandro if you want to be sure. He is an amazing human being. Incredibly hospitable and friendly. He went out of his way to make me feel very welcome. The place is beautiful and fabulous with all the mentioned features, WiFi, hot showers, clean bathrooms, even a swimming pool.
Also very close to Santiago.
Don't hesitate to check this place out.
I will definitely visit it next time when I'm close to Santiago again.

Wow! So friendly and hospitable. Even took us on a guided tour of the immediate area in one of his 3 VW vans! He is a great VW enthusiast. Also telephoned the Mercedes garage in Santiago, Kaufman's, to arrange our service for us. Amazing. Hot shower is in the owner's house which we were allowed to use and there are cold showers in the grounds. Owner speaks a little English and German. More like a home stay, they treat you like friends! 4 (delightful) pet dogs and some noise from neighbouring dogs. Surrounded by beautiful hills, this is a wine making region with tasting opportunities nearby (expensive so didn't partake - $55 pp). The "owner", Mateo, is 19 months old!. Not a campsite as such, more Alejandro's beautiful garden. Very safe and peaceful. Feel very privileged to have stayed here in this wonderful place.
