Turn off main hwy into Hartley Road. This new spot has many sites nearby, the nicest is at the given coordinates. Right on the river, below large trees, nice and level, room for several vehicles. Probably only accessible when dry.
*The other spot nearby is difficult to reach because of recent washouts.

All camp sites are closed with private property signs. Could not find any open sites on the road
Report Check-InIt’s not possible to access the riverbank as the roads are closed and marked as private properties. We found one spot down the road though.
Report Check-InGreat place. Easy access in my 30’ class c towing a Prius. Right at mile marker 91.
Report Check-InAfter heavy rains a few days back, the Hartney road is closed. before the gate however are plenty of spots for different size rigs and ground dried up sufficiently. nice place before or after Capital Reef NP. we parked our 25ft class C no problem.
Report Check-InGreat location. Lots of room. Close to the road but quiet after a day in Capital Reef
Report Check-InMany beautiful spots, but we found ours under a gorgeous old poplar tree. Our van is 8’6” so we BARELY fit but it was worth it!! There are many other sites nearby and some with fire rings. It is clear the cows have been around lately (seeing what they’ve left behind), but the river is nice and the easy going breeze is nice. Some sites are visible from the road while others are hidden.
Report Check-In--- Traveling Outside The Baatz ---
Just as described. The GPS location is the best site. however there are a number of good level sites. I believe around 10 or so.
Very easy access, right off the highway and the road is in great shape.
Just outside of Capital Reef N.P.
No Verizon cell service.
Report Check-InAmazing place! We came here because the other places around were way too windy, this place is perfect: barely no wind, you can have some privacy (depending on the spot), there is fire rings and room for everyone. Loved it!
Report Check-InVery nice and quiet place. Close to Capitol Reef NP. There are some sites with trees or firepits. Easy access. Not really crowded.
