We had a great time staying at Rene’s house. We were planning to stay one night and ended up staying the whole week. The place is amazing and very peaceful. Besides all the amenities, Rene received us like we were family members. He can help you with basically anything you need. Thanks again Rene!

For your information the road to my home is fully paved now.
And as I have lots of chickens now, predators (dogs) are not allowed.

We had a pleasure to stay with Rene with our Kombi for two times - to begin and to finish our two trips to South America.
The best place to start, the best place to stop.

René Delmotte is a real Ioverlander. i was broken down on the highway. it is stop and said come home, i have all the necessary tools and i know a lot of people and places to help you. before we were very lucky to have met René, he did everything to help us out. I cannot thank René enough. now we have one more friend

Everything has already been said, but we also want to share our experiences. Rene, Marcia and Marcelino have helped us enormously in the past 7 days. We were received very warmly and they helped us with everything. Rene is super technical and can give very good advice. Marcia is very nice and helpful. This place is wonderful to recover from traveling and to do the necessary maintenance. It is near Sao Paulo. In the village at the bottom of the mountain you can get everything you need. And Rene knows exactly where you can get everything and cheap. He is a very interesting man. We have had many nice conversations about travel, the economy, about the beautiful garden, about the future and the past. He is a legend!
ps. there's WiFi!!

There is nothing to add to the comments. It is an oasis. Thanks Rene, keep it up. Was a total of 7 days there.

If you are looking at this review, look no further. It’s a little out of the way but the compound is beautiful, very safe with a beautiful view of the city. They were also improving the roads to the area while I was there. It’s quiet, peaceful, relaxing. The owner Rene has built a beautiful place and shares it without hesitation. He is a retired automobile engineer, adventurer, explorer and iOverlander user himself. He goes above and beyond to help his visitors and he treated me like family.

Report Check-In

René and Marcia are really cool! They traveled a lot and now want to help other travellers. Rene has a big workshop and can help you on a lot of subjects (when he's not busy joking). We camped two nights there and were able to relax after a few days of pain after mechanical problems on a motorbike. Go there and say hi!

We don't post much on ioverland especially if everything was already said before us but about this place we had to. Rene and his family are amazing and kind people that make you feel more at home than at home :)
As been written in previous comments Rene can help you with practically anything you need, all we can add is that even if you don't need any help with anything it's still is a must place for any overlander traveling in Brazil. You get to meet an interesting family, stay in a beautiful place and maybe exchange some traveling stories. We were planning to come for a day or two and ended up staying for almost two weeks. Thanks for everything Rene.

Report Check-In

They are great people, very polite but we could not stay because they have 11 (eleven) dogs and we have an old lady (friendly). We didn't want to bother them with dog problems. It is better to call them in advance if you have a dog.

After a long three long driving days from Pantanal to Sao Paulo we couldn’t be happier to have stayed with Rene and Marcia. Bot only are they great hosts but they are fun and adventurous! Report Check-In

We visited Rene and Marcia the second time and stayed for one week on their beautiful property. We went out to eat and shop together, we felt us like at home. Rene is so helpful, he also helped us with a minor medical problem. It is not easy to find a place to stay in Sao Paulo, but at Rene's and Marcia's place you can find a paradise.

Report Check-In

Rene was the kindest and most helpful host we've encountered so far. He has a beautiful estate on the outskirts of Sao Paulo en he helped us a great deal with finding a good and affordable mechanic to fix some problems and also he helped us filling our fixed propane tank. To top it off he guided us to a great lunch buffet restaurant where we enjoyed a lunch together. Thank you so much Rene!

Report Check-In

René and Marcia are very welcoming and helpful. Shopping, washing, mechanical help everything is organized. It was so beautiful with them that we stayed a week. René speaks German very well and knows a lot. We can recommend this place to all Overlanders with best conscience. This is really a good place to enjoy.

A generous, friendly, polyglot host, a beautifully-kept peaceful garden full of avocados, mandarins, oranges, bananas and strawberry plants. Fourteen dogs and as many cats, a pool, hot shower, toilet and electricity hook-up, this is the kind of spot over landers dream of! Use GPS coordinates below to find road. Thanks, merci, obrigado René!

Report Check-In

Was passing Sao Paulo again and made a visit at Renes place. Had to correct and change many things at my Landy. This is the right place to do it! Rene helps with tools, manpower and know how!
50 Reals per night, persons, rig, power, water, help, tools, all included! No Wifi.

Report Check-In

very nice place, quiet and safe, very friendly hosts, water, electricity, hot shower, swimming pool, René can help you with a lot of technical problems and give good travel info about Brasil and more. The road is not so good for the last 500 meter, but if I can do it with my overloaded European RV everyone can do it. Don't use Garmin GPS, try waze and/or call René he will pick you up.
René can also help you for gpl if you have European 12 kg gas bottles with French connection.
