Description

Free camping at the casino parking lot. You just have to get in and register with security. After registering, you can also use the restrooms. We ordered dinner here with free soda. A big plate called Gigante Nacho serves 3 persons for 14 bucks with free soda. No ground tents here. only campers, vans, rigs or roof tents like us. The casino closes at 11 PM but has security all night. We were warned that there are wild animals and to not let pets loose outside.

Latest Check-Ins

All previous comments still accurate, just wanted to add that they have a limit of 3 RVs per night. We arrived on Saturday during Labor Day weekend and were the only ones here. Quiet and tranquil place.

Report Check-In

Small casino, friendly security guard, almost empty parking lot on a Tuesday, had a huge burger and fries for dinner.
Rode bike from Casino to Point Arena Lighthouse, fantastic views, roundtrip less then 20 mi. I would no doubt stay here again

Sad news: the nachos are no longer on the menu.

There’s a sign off Hwy1, but none to turn you up to Windy Hollow road. It’s just a block or so off the highway to the left. Super nice security, quiet parking lot. We played video poker just to give back a couple bucks.

Report Check-In

Checked in with security and provided vehicle information and copy of driver license. Security personnel were super accommodating and friendly. Restaurant was closed while we were there. Arrived late and left early. Perfect place for a safe quiet sleep.

Really quiet place and the acess is easy...

It is a nice place. Small. But also not busy. Clean. Unfortunately when we arrived it said the kitchen was closed Sunday & Monday. Not sure if that was a one off or usual.

As others have described. Check-in with security (Darryl) inside casino to register your vehicle details and they’ll photocopy your drivers license. one night stay only. I arrived on a Tuesday night and was the only overnighter in the parking lot.Parking lot is well lit and they have cameras everywhere. It was quiet and very little traffic on adjacent road.
The night I was there the casino closed at 9:30 PM. The bar and grill closed at 9 PM. Good prices on food and seniors get a 20% discount. Fountain sodas and popcorn are free.
As far as casinos go, it is a small one. Clean bathrooms inside casino. All gambling is by machines, no table games. There is an ATM inside ($3 service charge). Everyone that worked there was friendly. Casino opened at 9 AM on Wednesday.

stopped by for the night. super friendly security. just check in with them and you are good for the night.

Employees in the casino were super nice here. Food was very reasonably priced. Bathrooms are very clean. Dinner is served until 9:00 pm, and they no longer serve breakfast (said there was not enough demand). Spent a quiet night in the parking lot.

Excellent place to stay for free. Super clean Porta Potty by the road with hand wash station. Extremely nice staff. We got nachos but asked to make it vegetarian and they went above and beyond grilling extra squash, peppers, etc. It was delicious! Free pop and popcorn too.

nice people. Need to check in with security. One night ONLY. almost didn't get to stay because someone caused issues before us trying to stay more than 1 night.

Report Check-In

Casino parking as mentioned. No cell service.

Just check in, and then go get the Jalapeno burger!

Very restful. Quiet.

And then go see the Point Arena-Stornetta California National Monument about 5 minutes away. Amazing!

Another tip - at the Pt. Arena Pier, the Cove Coffee has great food, and sells tokens to the amazing showers on the pier. $5 gets you about 12 minutes.

Have to check in with security, they photocopy your license. They were open until midnight, clean bathrooms, grabbed a couple of beers at the bar.
Very quiet overnight spot, it was just me and one other vehicle. No road noise at all.

Report Check-In

Check in at security to stay overnight. Was very quiet most of the time except for a 30 minute period where a few people blasted their music. Still felt safe and everyone from the casino was very nice

this is a great spot! there’s not many free spots in the area so this is a nice option. make sure you get there before close to register your vehicle! security and staff were friendly and even let me fill my water bottle at the soda fountain for free (with permission). the night i stayed they closed at 930pm and the lot became empty and quiet. they also don’t open until the afternoon so even if you have a late start to your morning, you’ll still most likely be the only one in the lot. security did say they prefer you only spend one night

Wonderful place to stay. Quiet and private once the casino closed, and the employees of the casino are unbelievably kind. Nice restrooms. Food is reasonably priced and enjoyable. Definitely better than anything else we’ve seen on highway 1!

As descibed, I registered with security. although Carl was not there, his assistant was just as nice and welcoming. I had thought about having dinner in the Casino, but the prices were high. I'll do breakfast instead. I woke around 8 am to an empty parking lot. I had thoughtvabout doing breakfast instead, ive had a hankerin' for some biscuits and gravy. But being the only one there at 9:00 am when they opened I felt weird and was excited to hit the road again. Highly recommended, slept great.
