Description

This place is right behind Tacos Locos. They charged $10 per night for 2 people with power. We parked behind restaurant which has cheap beer (2x60) and fast Wi-Fi. Nice beach with great sunsets. There is a shuttle into San Juan del Sur a few times a day for $5pp return. Banos are locked but they let us have keys to the back one and a shower.

Really rundown place and camping in the uneven backyard of the restaurant. Place was closed when we arrived and some young guys hanging around. They let us stay for 5$ per car/tent. Toilet/shower was dirty and the whole evening occupied by a creepy old guy that observed our camp spot from one of the doors! You really got to love surfing to stay at this place!

As described. Decent local and was nice to get up and surf before the crowds. Strong 3G signal. Power strong enough for AC. WiFi worked right next to restaurant. Bathrooms sort of ok and locked. Sunsets are very nice as is everyone who lives out there

Nice spot to stay in a camper close to the surf beach with electricity and bathrooms. They asked for 10 USD a night. We wanted to stay and already plugged in, but as all the pick-ups with surfers arrived, it gets too crowded for us and we left. We wanted to surf as well, but this was too much for us on a normal tuesday.

Nice camping spot close to the beach. Paid 10$/night por two people with electricity for our camper. Toilet and shower very simple (sometimes a little bit dirty) but enough. Really calm at night. Playa Maderas got crowded on sunday, Nica families spend the day here. Fun surfing.

Owners are so nice! They gave us a key for restroom for the night. They look for security the whole night. The place can be muddy after rain. We payed 10 $ for the night (2 people).

We loved this place, simple but has everything you need (shower, wifi, electricity, dog friendly) and the family is incredibly nice!! There is a fruit/veggie/some meat truck that comes every couple days. The wave is also quite good, peaky beach break so it shifts but can have a couple lefts and rights, fun white wash too if your just starting, but can get a bit busy.

stayed 3 nights here in the dry season. it was hot and dusty! but it's a sweet location right on playa Maderas. the guys that run the place are so friendly and helpful. We paid $10 per night for 2 ppl with electricity. you are staying in a car park/open area at the back of the restaurant. it's quiet apart from the crazy nica offshore winds all day and night! they have a night watchman/security guy and the area is quiet at night.felt very safe for us. behalf vegetable truck comes by once a a week and the mangos are so damn good we still dream about them.

Nice family restaurant right on Maderas Beach. Campsites both in front and in back. Paid US$10 to plug in, would have been US$5 without electricity. Campsites have shade, the bathroom has both toilet and paper and their is a shower. The family is super nice and accommodating.

ONE IMPORTANT DETAIL: The maps.me coordinates brought us to a hilltop roughly 300m south, rather than straight to the spot. Maps.me directed us to turn left and climb a steep 4x4 track. Wrong. Keep to the right and climb THAT steep 4x4 track. Keep left at the four tiki God statues and descend the rutted washboard hill. This campsite is the first one on the right after the sharp ravine that bisects the "road".

Road conditions are very rough. Big rigs will not make it.

This place is right in front of Tacos Locos. They charged $10 per night for 2 people with power. We parked behind restaurant between the trees. They have cheap beer (2x60) and fast Wi-Fi (although it can crap out once in a whole). There were overlanders in tents out front too (they told us they paid $5 for 2 people per night). Nice beach with great sunsets. There is a shuttle into San Juan del Sur a few times a day for $5pp return. Banos are locked but they let us have keys to the back one as well as a shower during our stay. Toilets have seats and there's TP. No Claro reception but there is Movistar. Restaurant makes reasonable pizza and serves 3 meals a day. Very quiet after dark. Howlers in the trees at times.
