A huge, hard sand court, little shade, papelas, restaurant, boat tours (boat 1000P 2h tour), dark and quiet at night, police patrolled and waved at us, families during the day, completely relaxed, perfect relaxing place

WARNING. Stopped here. Spoke to a local about safety overnight here and he said it’s not safe. That there have been problem at this spot late at night “due to drugs and alcohol.” We left and are parked in front of one of the hotel’s in the town. Tour guides say it’s super safe to stay here at night. Bit load until 11pm but then it was peaceful.

good night sleep. we had some people drive by with scooters but they left.
we als had a visit from two raccoons 🦝

Slept one night here. Very quite.

Nice, free place, but don’t go there on a Saturday. Party with loud music and lots of motorcycles during the whole night. Did not get much sleep.

A big parking lot perfect for the night, the only problem is mosquitos, sandfly... We leave the place around 11pm because of it and park just in front of the Rio hotel at the end of the principal street of the city we asked the guy at the reception and he said no problem!

We stayed 2 nights there at different locations; first night pretty close to the parking lot wall to the right= to close to the noisy restaurant ( there was a wedding) and to close to the mangroves and a bad rotten sulfurous smell so we switched the 2nd. night to the left of the parking lot at the end of the Picknick tables near the Swimming area

Quiet place but soo many sandflies at sunset and sunrise and the mosquitoes net doesn't stop them😅

loved this place and the whole area. I imagine it gets busy and noisy at weekends, but during the week is peaceful. We saw several alligators in the so-called 'swimming area'. They were around 2-3m long but locals said they can be up to 5-6m long 😯. we didn't swim! but it's a beautiful waterside spot. free if you don't plug in to the restaurant's power. Not sure what they charge for plugging in, we didn't need it.

Gratuit pour la journée et la nuit. Wifi au restaurant (demandez le mot de passe), on capte le signal jusqu’a la petite ballade pour voir les crocodiles (Sendero Peten Mac), spot à l’ombre toute la journée quasiment. Restaurant correct.
Très calme la nuit, personne n’est venu, la police fait quelques rondes, en sécurité.

good place, quiet and easy to find here a lancha for view flamingos and las coloradas. Nice palapas with pier on the beach for the sunset and cooking yourself !
you don t have to pay and you can use the toilets of the restaurant for free. They are alligators in the little "cenote". No wifi.

All the three sites belong to one spot. The place is not bad at all. For us a little less privacy and swimming is not really nice. Good for a night or two when you want to do a boat tour. Our guide picked us up with his boat right on the site. Don't miss Los Colorados and a bit further on. Scenic drive, beaches, flamingos. You can spend a night there too and enjoy the stars.

Muy buen lugar para acampar y descansar. Ideal para Campers de todo tipo de dimensiones. Hay mesas y palapas.

Perfecto lugar para dormir, con un gran parking, tranquilo y seguro. Puedes bañarte en el ojo de agua durante el día, en la noche NO!, hay cocodrilos. Muy recomendable hacer tour en río lagartos a primera hora de la mañana. Preguntar en la palapa por el capitán ChinoMosca. Genial y recomendable!

Big lagoon with crocodiles. Nice restaurant. Palapa. Paradise view. The big parkinglot is bordered by a mangrove forrest which smells quite bad.

Ad the far end of the malecon you find a balneario around a sweetwater cenote.
