Description

A hotel in Uruapan with a parking area for campers. They have hookups, so that is always nice, but the highlight here was the amazing pool area that overlooked Uruapan [now hidden by tall trees !].

Les emplacements pour camper sont bien, propres, eau, électricité, piscine, douches chaudes, mais impossible de dormir la nuit, le bruit des camions est incessant avec les freins Jacob.

As described previously: a little noisy due to the road but very easy to get to. Both electricity and water working at the site. You can use the bathroom at the reception which has been recently renovated and is very clean. Showers are at the pool area a little further. Still 280Mx.

The place is generally as described. We loved the pool area which was great for a workout/ yoga in the morning as well. The place was very quiet ( post Semana Santa) so it was a nice little retreat for us. The view over the avocado orchard below is really nice. Showers are cool, not hot and there’s no light so be sure to shower in daylight hours!
The toilets were in good working order although the garbages hadn’t been emptied in awhile.
$280mx/ night for 2 people

Used for an overnight stay. Parking in front of the hotel with electricity and water. Shower, toilet and pool included for 300 pesos. You can hear the street very loud. But OK.

As always the same place garners differing reviews! We liked it here though we are quite tolerant on not level parking, and road noise is okay too. The hotel has a restaurant that is open 8-5:30pm and the pool also has showers. Our dog in the van got a wave from the friendly receptionist but we didn’t take him in the buildings obviously. WiFi works in the camping area much to my amazement and Telcel has a strong signal.
Some of the 110v 15 amp outlets look okay though we didn’t test them as our portable voltage regulator recently burned out at another campground! I found one faucet with a strong flow of water. As we are alone here we could make whatever use we wanted of the many spaces available. 280 pesos in February 2022

A good place for an overnight stay. A little run down but the price reflects that (280Ps). There is some road noise.

Report Check-In

we checked this place out. The"RV" camp has one spot that is level with power. A bus was there. We don't need power so slipped outta there and up the road a bit. Quiet and level. Nope, always"little kings." This woman from the hotel said we had to park in the RV camp. We left. The jake brakes were a blaring. Still 280 pesos.

Almost flat area, practical stop for Uruapan/Paricutin, away from the current violent events in Uruapan. A few electrical sockets/water spigots working. Quite noisy on friday night because of highway 100m away (sounded like "need for speed" with drivers racing up the hill, and trucks engine braking down, receptionist confirmed all this was usual on friday). Otherwise nice setting & helpful staff.

Welcoming staff. We stay 5 nights. 280 pesos/night. Water and electricity, no dump station. Very good wifi. Beautiful pool. Good place for visiting area : volcano Paricutin and the Templo San Juan, the Parque Nacional Barranca del Cupatitzio and the Cascada de Tzararacua. The town is interesting and clean.

Good location to visit Uruapan and the nearby buried church at Angahuan. Hotel amenities available with a nice pool, billiards, etc. Decent WiFi. No dump station. Sites have electrical and water hookups (although these are very rundown). Basically camping on a parking area next to the hotel: during events, hotel visitors park there so it gets crowded. Very friendly staff: Carla called her car mechanic to come to the campground.

Charming old hotel with well kept grounds. M$270 per night with electrical and potable water. Martin the friendly grounds keeper will sort you out. There is a games room with billiards and table tennis. The pool is an awesome place to cool off after hiking the Volcan. We stayed over a weekend and there was a wedding party but the noise was low and there were no issues in the parking lot.

$270 per rig. Nice hotel with a beautiful pool area. The bathrooms are not very close to the camping area.

Beautiful hotel complex in a wonderful setting. 550 mxn for a room with double bed. If you are moved to come here to enjoy the pool, don't bother for the next few months as the pool in under major renovations.

250 pesos. Beautiful old hotel and wonderful people. The highway hill wraps around the hotel about 500m away and the truck engine brakes are somewhat noisy. Power and water available. Take a cab if you want to go into town. Traffic here is intense and the roads are small.
