I never used the bathrooms. They look pretty dilapidated. Didn't hear any dogs. I parked towards the back of the area, in a nice level spot. No trash in my site. It was a quiet, peaceful night and there were no other campers in the park at all.

Check how the weather has been in this area before you set your heart on it. After rain or melting snow the place is MUDDY. So much so, I was afraid I would get stuck in my van so didn't even venture into the muddy roads. Close to road, pies and good cell coverage though

We were able get our 36’ MH w/ trailer into a large site near the entrance. Ground was dry. Many low branches further in. Great BBQ and Pies at Does and Bucks Coffee Cafe, open longer hours than the other two pie places.

Expect narrow passages and mud in this park. Choose your path before entering the maze.....You may get a bar of broadband...I continues East.....great forest rd. and 4 bars lte

Jackson Park is a free campground provided by Pie Town NM, just south of US 60. Elevation 7786’. (I am here in the beginning of May and it’s 80°.) There is NO water available and vault toilet has been trashed. Drive past the Campground sign and you can find many places to camp. It’s dusty and a little noise from the highway, other than that private and quiet. Less than 5 minutes walking distance to eat pie. No dumpsters available so please PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT. Let’s not lose this free campsite.

Pie Town is noted for pies. Check out the restaurants right on US 60.

We stayed two nights and it was perfect! Quiet, very few other campers, no frills, plenty of space for the dog to run around, a few picnic benches and campfires here and there. And best part for us, blazing fast internet on ATT. Around 60mb/20mb down and up. Likely because the cell tower is a block away.

You can dump and fill up fresh water for $10 at the RV park down the road, too.

Make sure to try some pie across the street!

Actual name for Pie Town city park is Jackson Park. Much easier to navigate if name is correct.

Will be stopping there 11/23/21.

This is a great, free camping location if you don’t need services. It’s not much of a city park, just some dirt roads winding through the trees. We did find a few picnic benches, a single pit toilet and a water spigot (no water). As a boondocking spot, this works. Although there is NF just up the road. The big bonus, PIE 🥧 across the road! Oh, and no one around to fuss about dogs on leash.

loved it
might want to have four-wheel drive as anywhere off the road is kind of soft especially if it rains in
