Description

Great low key backpackers away from it all working closely with the community. Attracts a different kind of people and you can have great conversations or just relax. Beautiful bay, river and beach, small pitches with electricity, wooden lookout tower for whale and dolphin watching (saw both), communal area, free wifi, great dogs who might accompany you on a beach walk, meals available, no bar but shebeen nearby, several activities on offer and good massages (100R for 45 minutes). Some locals around trying to make a buck by selling everything from ... oysters to crayfish and fire wood. All in all our favourite stop at the Wild Coast. 115R pp

Very nice location!! Camping pits are very small until too small for cars. Area for bigger rigs or camping cars are not leveled, so bring enough stuff to make yourself comfortable. Price is now 105,- for camping per person.
Internet available but slowly and half the time off.
4G Cell C reception.

Camping is now 100 Rand per person. Pitches are indeed very small. Owners are friendly and the apt has a nice vibe. Sea and coast view are spectacular. Nice long walks at the beach possible.

Perfect backpackers and campsite. 95 RAND for a grassy spot. Beautiful open air shower, full kitchen. Very close to the beach. Friendly locals around. Definitely one of the best place in South Africa.

Great spot after a tough drive from The Kraal along the coastal gravel roads! Very chilled vibes, great meals for reasonable prices (R50-90) and camping is only R90 a night. Time to sit and chat to some travelers and enjoy some fishing and the empty beaches. Great place for a couple of days (or weeks). Campsites are small but I was the only one camping so perfect times!

We stayed two nights over the weekend. Yes, lively, but a nice change. Had very good internet (one of the best on our trip through Southern Africa). Excellent for our children with a small playground, other guests with children and local children. Our three children (6,5,3) together paid as one adult. Nearby well-stocked tuck shop.

quiet and eco-friendly place. grassy pitches with beautiful view!
restaurant, tv, lounge, wifi for free, tower to see dolphins and whales.
kitchen fully equipped and hot showers.
clean. friendly staff. good vibes at 500 meters from the ocean.
80 pppn for camping, 155 pppn for dorm and 330 double room without bathroom.
be careful, the last 18 km are long (1hour) because of the road. it is possible with a 2WD but it is better to come for at least 2 nights!!!

Beautiful location and a great partnership model with the local community. However, not a great choice on a weekend. Loud music and partying on Friday night. Campsites are tiny and close together - best for ground tents.
