Site #6. Lake view thru wooded site. Quiet, overcast. 6 miles from car ferry dock. lovely.

Very nice State Park, sites spaced out well. Several water front sites. Mostly shaded. Beautiful little lake with waterfalls around, great for kayaking. We paddled out to see the salmon spawning.

Nice campground on the very beautiful lake. A few sites on the lake, one with access. Boat launch. Road to the campground is now paved, campground itself is gravel with a couple of potholes but not bad. I didn't have ATT cell signal except randomly while kayaking. I saw 2 bears on the way out my last day. It's also shaded so not great for solar. I liked this one better than Chilkat.

We arrived here on the 26th of September and the campground was closed for the season. We boondock along the inlet road, as per the gentleman in the tourist info said you can park/stay anywhere where there are no signs.

Nice campground. Bear viewing is along the river before you get to the CG. The road in is very rough and not maintained. Ok for trucks, class C, class B, smaller class A. Drive very slow ... lots of potholes. I would not bring a 5W, TT or larger class A. Campground is very clean and well maintained. Four stars due to the road getting to the campground. It's a state run campground and a state road. I don't understand why the state doesn't maintain the road in better.

It’s a state park. River flows through it and there are some small shallow rapid areas where potentially bears can fish. There is a cool counting barrier too where a state employee sits and counts fish which crosses and you can see their spawning places on a map. No bears were present or talking to the guy he mentioned no many have come so far. May be end July early August when salmon dies they come to eat dead fish. To the day around 12,000 fish had crossed over and they will all eventually die after spawning or so was his assumption. Scenery is beautiful .. many bald eagles around.
