Note: Google direction took me to the adjacent property. As you get closer look for the Natural Green Sign and driveway. If you are getting into a wide flat parking area, turnaround. You can also type in Google Cabana Potosi, it is across the Natural Green campsite.

A great and a perfect place to stay. Professor Mario was very accommodating and bribed me about the whole property before was taken to the camping area. Walked over to Antom and had dinner there. All types of restaurants & grocery stores are there.

No need to add something. Great, peaceful place, superfriendly owner Mario.
BUT need to know for big rigs:
First we thought it is too small, but it worked without any problem with our big MAN 6x6 18 t. Just try it. It is worth it.

This location is as described in all other posts. Mario the owner is awesome & helpful. One flush toilet, 1 shower & sinks for washing dishes. Electric in some places on the property. Bring extension cords. Flat ground for leveling rigs. Lots or trees around. Next to creek with frogs, birds & turtles. Quiet at night. Highly recommend. $5 usd per person per night. Easy walk to town with lots of restaurants & grocery stores. No wifi but plenty of places have it nearby.

We spent several days at this campsite. Mário, the owner, charged us $5 per person per day. The camping is very good, peaceful and quiet, inside the property there is a river where turtles live. It has electricity sockets, drinking water, bathrooms and a cold shower. There is no Wi-Fi, but there is a 4G signal from +movil. Mário also gave us firewood to have a barbecue. The climate in the region is very mild and pleasant, and the owner is a biologist, so he will be happy to help with tips about the region. Your contact is in a photo here.

The campsite is beautiful! Just in the rain season some spots are more soggy than others. Bathrooms are very basic, but working. Owner is amazing! Speaks English and Spanish and his hospitality is neverending. For 5$/pppn he made us a coffee in the morning, let us cook in his kitchen and gave us wood for the BBQ. Great experience!

Report Check-In

We stayed three nights and enjoyed the campsite. Good spot to enjoy a bit of fresh air away from hot Panama City. The host is simply amazing, her shared many stories and recommendations with us. Highly recommend staying here with either tent or camper truck.

Great place to stay to explore the hiking trails, cute town and get out of the heat somewhat. Not as cool as Boquete. More hiking trails here though! Mario is a great guy. Sites have covered palapas with seating areas, water and weak electricity. Enough to run a battery charger. Potable water. Mario trimmed the trees so we could fit with our truck, 25ft length, 11.5 ft height. $5 pp/ night. We enjoyed our stay here.

Wonderful djungle Camp.
Mario and his dog Blue are so lovely.
A lot of turtles in the river. Stayed 9 nights. Fantastic spot. 5$/night per person. In Google Maps it's called "Natural Green - Eco-Campsite"
2 Toilets, 2 Showers and a handful of palapas. Outdoor kitchen sinks, enough wood for a fire. water is drinkable.in the evening it cools down, fantastic!

What a wonderful campground, 8 dollars for the night for a covered site close to both town and hiking trails. Mario was great to deal with

very quiet place. There are at least two spots where you can place a large campervan. We had no problem with ours (7 m long, 3m high). Still 5$ pppn. Shower and toilet not really clean but ok. Mario is an ornithologist, he is offering birding tours.

Report Check-In

Mario is the property owner and he has a nice spot for vans. A bit tight for our Ford Transit high roof, extended but we managed to squeeze in. Cold outdoor showers and flush toilets. Lots of flying insects. You’re in the jungle, so it’s to be expected. Lovely property by the water and definitely worth $10 (5pp/pn). If an extra $2 from $8 to $10 is going to break you, you may as well stay home. Mario is a great camp host and there is lots of great hiking nearby. We only stayed one night because it was too hot for us to hike and there is a dog on site. She seemed ok with our dog around but we didn’t want to risk it.

Report Check-In

Owner told that the normal price is 20$, but right now he is giving for us extra price - 8$. We did at some moment agreed on 5$, but the owner started feeling sorry for himself and talking how much he has to spend for keeping this place, how much all the taxes costs him and that 5$ is nothing, so we decided to sleep in the forest for free.

Report Check-In

Fantastic stay! Mario is extremely friendly and knowledgeable willing to explain everything he knows in both Spanish and English. We pitched our tent under one of his many ranches and enjoy the serenity of his property. Bird watching with coffee early in the morning, day trips and hikes all around, close to town and all that for $5pp/pn… score!
Highly recommend

Mario is a great guy and the morning coffee starts your day off right. Covered camping for 8USD/night.

Report Check-In

It's big rig friendly. Any size will fit in. There is enough space. Only at the entrance you will touch some soft branches.

Report Check-In

Very nice and quiet place to stay. Mario is an excellent guide for birdwatching. El Valle is a cozy little village.

Report Check-In

We liked this place very much. It’s in full nature bordering a river. Very quiet. Nice climate because of the altitude. In dry season there are a couple of big camping spaces with a big palapa each and seating possibilities. Lovely hosts. Mario and Olga invited us twice for dinner, once when they had family around and the other time was with Christmas Eve at his brother’s place the other side of the street (Potosi cabanas). Price is still 5$ pp. we stayed 5 days, much longer than expected.

Report Check-In

The owner wasn’t around but his brother came and explained all we needed. Nice place with limited space in the rainy season. All grass is too wet, and so we shared the space of the driveway with other 2 cars. Was asked for 7 but mentioned price here and paid 5.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Mario is a very kind host and provided a lot of information about the best hikes in the area. As a added bonus we got free and delicious coffee at multiple occasions. Please be careful in the rainy season, the ground is very soft and it is very easy to get stuck even with 4x4 and A/T tires ! Best park in front of the main house and wait for Marios instructions. 5$ per person. PS: There is no WIFI and Claro had no coverage. Marios WhatsApp: +50764949987

Mario was out of town since it was off season but caretaker across the street greeted us. We paid $5ppn. The water was not functioning. So toilets and shower unusable. It was rainy and very muddy but the major issue was the insects. They were biblical. Beautiful grounds but biting insects forced us inside. We stayed only one night

Lovely place! Mario the owner is very friendly. The are lots of plants, birds and you can walk down to the river from the campsite. Mario even brought us coffee one morning, he grows the coffee beans. We were able to go to the cabinas across the street to access internet and we could plug in our vehicle at the campsite. We paid $7/pp, I am sure you could negotiate, we didn’t try. Great spot for doing the India Dormida hike.

Great place to camp in El Valle. Mario was very helpful with local hikes and nature info. There is 3 covered areas to camp, a bathroom with cold shower and a bbq area. 5 pnpp. Very quiet nature setting, perfect to relax. Safe to leave your stuff while out during the day.

Report Check-In

really nice spot in the middle of nature. in the morning you hear the birds and evening the frogs. Mario is very friendly. Toilet was clean with toilet paper. also due to cooler tenperatures this is a very neat place.

Report Check-In

We stayed for a few days over the weekend. Very quiet and peaceful. There are a few little covered areas with picnic tables which was helpful for cooking during threatening weather. The bathroom could use some work as it was a little dirty and exposed. We paid $10 a night for two of us and we plugged in our fridge.

Also, we did a loop hike from here on the India Dormida which goes along the crater and has really great views of the town and surroundings.. We started here, walked up the road to cross and took the trail through to the town and back. Took about 3 hours at a leisurely pace.
