Something not right?

Description

A large paved parking lot next to the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. We asked inside if overnights were permitted and they said “yes” and that vans and RVs park here all the time. Also, there are no signs that say “no parking overnight.”

Suggest that you park away from the rivers edge as people like to sit there and play music in the evening. Also, trains will start running and blowing their horn at 6:30AM. I did not hear any horns during the night however.

Public flush toilets nearby.

Latest Check-Ins

Level spots, good signal (att/tmobile) plus quiet & felt safe. No complaints. I parked closer to the water by a tall bush. Lawn dudes came out around 9am.

Report Check-In

We stayed one night. Only downside of the spot is the noise: train horns all night and people partying after their night at the casino.

Report Check-In

We spent 3 nights in this vast parking lot. At this period it was very sparsely occupied, night or day. City employees and the police can and went, no problem. This parking lot is very well located, in the port of Dubuque were there is a beautiful riverwalk along the Mississippi. It’s a short walk to places to visit in the city. The casino is nearby. At night you can hear trains but it didn’t bother us. Thank you so much for this opportunity!

Report Check-In

We stayed here overnight with no problems. Has a public bathroom as well.
