This is a great spot for a picnic, washroom break, and a chance to walk your dog. It also connects to the Legacy Trail for a bike ride (Canmore to Banff). There is a sanitation dump station that is seasonal.

Slept there for 3 nights with my partner and friends (the banana club). Two vans and a SUV with roof top tent. Staff says overnight parking is forbidden and there are also No Overnight signs. However, during one of our stays, at around 10pm a police officer drove right through the lot, there were at least 10 parked campers and cars (including mine with the tent on the roof). The officer drove through, then did an U turn and drove for the second time. During his second passage, he stopped right in front of my tend, and in a very chatty and friendly approach said that he never saw a roof top tent before, and then left.

We assumed that as long as the overnighters respect the place, keeping it clean, quiet and tidy, no problems will arise and staying there will be completely possible.

There is no overnight parking, they do have small signs that state no overnight parking or parking. They have started to enforce this as well. Washrooms were clean.

We spent a few nights here- it becomes quite the campervan city at night. There were even a couple larger rvs, truckers, motorhomes, and a car top tent. There are a couple small signs that say no overnight camping, but it is clearly not enforced.
