Description

This very high in altitude place give a incredible vue of the Pico, the most highest mountain of Mexico.
Here they rent cabañas and there is a place for tent and small campers or van.
From Orizaba, it took us almost 2 hours to drive the 20 km of mountains road. Be sure to call them before to make sure you can go or if it’s open.
It’s calm, beautiful and you can hike around the mountain. Baños, hot shower and restaurant with short menu.

Latest Check-Ins

The place is really nice and you can do some great hikes around the mountain. But there is not a real camping spot for Vans or Motohomes. You kind of have to park by the road which is not flat. The showers can be hot but you have to be lucky. Still 150 Pesos Per night per person. The 20km to go up there from La Perla are not for everyone. We made it up with a Ford Transit van without 4x4 but you definitely need some nerve. The road is steep and has some pot holes, but the views are definitely amazing.
