Nice and quite place. We stayed for the night but didn’t fit inside as we are to high.
The ranger came around midnight to control the gate to the Reserva National beside him no car nor people.
We had a very nice and quiet night and it wasn’t that cold.
No phone signal (Movistar and Entel)
As described. Place was empty when we got there at 7pm (train cart did have some blankets & empty beer cans of a sign of someone maybe sometimes sleeping there)
Peaceful away from the road we slept well
Really nice shady place. Some trash outside the picnic area from a recent party, but inside it was clean. Park was closed with a gate at night so that was only place to stay overnight.
Report Check-Inwe stayed over the night and it was very nice. we parked our van inside of the picnic area, so we were hidden from the street and had some shadow in the morning. can recommend!
Report Check-InAwesome campspot! A bunch of stone picnic tables protected from the wind, an old train car, and some ruins nearby.
Report Check-InGreat spot. There’s a picnic pavilion just outside the park with tables, a shady tree, and walls to block the wind. We set up our tent right under the big tree. It was a very quiet and peaceful night. The park was closed due to the park ranger strike, but we saw a ranger drive into the park in the morning and open the gate, so it appears to be open again.
Report Check-InGood spot as indicated. Picknick tables under tree, walls around give some shelter from the wind. We set up camp right next to the tables in the early evening, and were joined by a Wicked camper later in the evening. Abandoned train wagons and geoglyphs ( :) ) all still there.
Report Check-Inwe slept here for 1 night and there was anybody around until the guard of the petroglyph site around 9:00 AM but they didn't care about us.
still table and the train ;)
no wind behind it and very quiet.
plus: the colours of the sunset were incredible
Perfect spot on ruta 5! After kilometers in the desert we didn’t believe to find such a nice place... just as described by others.
