Description

Petrobras with cafe, showers, weak wifi and a place to hang your hammock (for free) just outside of the Indigenous Reserve. If you're coming from the Reserve, it's just after the police station. We were told traffic was prohibited to enter the park after 6:30pm. Stopping, photography and videos are prohibited within the reserve and they have speed cameras at either end of the reserve, presumably to discourage you from stopping.

Dormimos uma noite aqui antes de passar pela reserva a caminho de Manaus. Local tranquilo e seguro, pessoal simpático.

Report Check-In

Wanted to stay the night but it was so bad, that wasn't an option. bathrooms were very dirty, the side of the building (to camp) smelled of rotting meat and it was an overall bad experience. Instead we camped (tent) outside the restaurant in the Federal Inspection area about 500 mts south of PetroBras. We were well received and the friendly staff brought us cold water and some food in the morning!!

Nuit très bruyante malgré la fermeture de la station de 21h30 à 5h30.
Les sanitaires étaient sales.

As described, quiet grassy spaces next to a gas station, about 500m from police. cafe, showers, wifi. Spent a pleasant evening here listening to British 60s music with a family heading home to Ecuador after working years in Venezuela. Only downside, the covered area is very close to a trash pile with vultures, so I pitched my tent outside on the grass.

good place for an overnight stop, nice people. this is the northern entrance of the reserve indígena. South entrance is 120 km down the main road from here. there's a carbet for tentes and hammocks.

Gas station. More people stay here. Especially truckers. Quiet at night. Small restaurant but only for lunch. Toilets and showers. Reasonably clean. Ok for a night.

All of the mentioned details are still available and free! Excellent spot and not that noisy at night as you would expect. Amazing amount of Tucans and Macaws flew by sunset and dawn.
