Great spot for several rigs including large rigs. Entrance is a very tight S curve. Recommend unhooking the toad if you're able. Turn in from the roadway not the shoulder. Easier on the way out. This is a waste disposal evaporation pond so some sulfur type smell, at certain times, but nothing crazy. Amazing sunsets! Not far from White Sands NP.

Spent the night of 11/22. Very nice! Bit rough camp sites, but really handy to white sands national park. Fun to see military jets flying around. The noise did end, mostly, when the sun went down. The lake provides a nice view and the ducks love it. It did have a sudsy concrete rubble shoreline.
Report Check-InLots of campers, vans, and some car camping tonight but still plenty of space for everyone. Feels very similar to BLM land found further west, good “vibe” essentially. No smell from the lake either!
Report Check-InGreat sunset view. Fire pits available. Perfect location for White Sands NP.
A lot of RVs, also in regular days. Close to the Army airport and motorway, so a bit noisy.
